I gather Amanda went down for the operation at 5.15 pm and no doubt Jane will post with further news. I believe Jane's still at the hospital. Absolutely awful thing to happen and very bad luck - here's hoping she bounces back as quickly as possible.

UPDATE.
Manda was in surgery for nearly 5 hours,she is out now and looking remarkably well considering what she has had done.They said it was dificult to piece the cheek bone together as it was in bits!!Anyway she has plates in upper and lower jaws and on the cheek bone.When I left she was eating a little yogurt so is not too bad.
She would like to thank all the kind people who have sent their best wishes,but I am sure when she gets out she will post on here herself.
