I appear destined to have only colts. No fillies to continue my bloodlines - perhaps it is a message that I should be thinking of giving up and retiring altogether. Anyway he is nice and a full brother to Deboniks' lovely colt, Marbon Majali Magic; thinking of calling him Magician. He is chestnut at the moment and I just hope he will stay that colour but with a grey sire, Ibn Silver, time will tell. He has a sweet friendly temperament already - 3 white legs and a blaze. Will try and get my daughter to do some pics shortly.

Oh please don't give up Di! You are breeding such super horses! If things are difficult you can always cut back or not breed for a year or two maybe, and just enjoy the horses you have? I know quite a few breeders who are doing this. |

Thank you for all your encouraging comments. The problem is that if I do not sell a horse once in a while, I cannot continue to feed the ones I have got and it is still difficult to find homes for the Crabbet horses. Both the foals this year are really nice - the Tobago colt is growing very tall and I hope to get Susan to take some pics of him today. The new baby is all wobbly on stilts - he is also going to be taller than his sire and dam. My lovely colt, Masadi, has covered 4 mares this year so it will be exciting to have foals of my own bloodlines next year; he continues the Shirar/Istashra line; with Prince Sadik/Rose of Bediya added; and through his dam continues the Dafina line. Susan's mare, Alliya, is the first one to be scanned in foal so we know he is fertile. His full brother, Mellway Silver Magic, who had to be gelded - has been winning many prizes down in the West Country for is new owner, Gill Ross. Hope to get some pics of Masadi for you soon. |

So glad all went well Di, and I'm sure he will be just as stunning as his big brother. Hopefully some sensible person will give your new boys a wonderful home, do wonderful things with them and enable you to keep going and get to that elusive filly. Maybe next year. Has Astarafah been scanned to Masadi yet? Alexia |

As you can all see Susan Oliver has been today to collect Alliya and took some pics. The first ones are of Cantata's new baby by Ibn Silver - full brother to Marbon Majali Magic - thinking of calling him Magician. The second foal is by Tobago out of G.Forgetmenot and is called Marbon Mobago. The third pics are of Masadi - El Sharluke's grandson and my future stallion. Alliya has scanned in foal to him and Astarafah has held at 6 weeks; G.Forgetmenot has been covered; and also Marbon Medina; so it is now wait and see time. Hope you enjoy the pics and thank you Sue for putting them on here for me. |
