I also thought it was the White Clover that was a No.1 culprit due to the fact that it has arsenic in it,another possible cause.
Best thing I've used for Sun burn is the Boots SULTAN 6hrs,Cream, sticks like sh-t, leaves a good coating on the pink bits and last for up to 6 Hours, my horses very red & sore pink nose is back to normal, thanks to SULTAN, one application in the morning and last all day, also it do'nt smell too bad, horse quite likes the smell & taste. Wonder if it would help with heels.
Cost £18 250g Tube, was special on buy one get one free.
(Liverpool have linked Grass Sickness to White Clover due to the Arsenic.)
