I should be painting, but have been lured to the computer with some coffee and frozen yoghurt. Probably not the best choice, been all cold and wet outside for ages it feels!

Fab day here. Been for ride...grrr...farmer in field where I wanted to jump log! Saw fella in an outdoor school we pass and made enquiries about lessons, home for coffee and biccy, bro. called in whilst waiting for the deli to make his baguette for lunch, started to pack for child to go on 3 day trip to Hayling Island with school next week and realized she needs new clothes..rats! She'll just have to look impoverished. Pushed hoover about a bit. Have two loads blowing nicely on the line. OH has just rung to say he's helping his son do 'stuff' so that gives me time to prattle on here. Must get into garden and do things to it....

Just had an email from my friend in France who's had 3 senior moments today.

1 Went to supermarket and forgot to put handbrake on car. Came out of supermarket to find it had rolled away and was resting on someone else's bumper.

2 Put a load of washing in, including nice red pyjamas. Shame she put it on 80 degree wash. OH now has nice pink pants.

3 On her way back into the house from the garden, tripped over her own trousers and in a bid to save from landing on her face, managed to fall on her ample buzooms instead. Now nursing bruised chin, bruised chest and swollen hooters.

Not funny, but I still laughed.

Have a feeling I might be falling off my horse tomorrow.

I'm having quite a productive day for once but keep coming on here to check what's happening. Been to Tesco, changed all the beds (friend coming this weekend) and took my boy for a walk down the lane to let him graze in hand and get used to the very scary cars. It was all quite calm today - I think someone has swapped him for another little grey Arab. Just about to accompany small daughter on foot as she hacks small pony. A 3 day trip with school would be heaven!

Kirsty hope the gypos don't come back - he sounds a right thug that guy. Nasty.

Yep, school trips are great! Mummy, I get homesick...Don't be silly dear you'll love it when you're there....

Nasty horrid gypo types! Watch for twigs or suchlike gently wedged in between door and frame. They can then drive past and see which have fallen out, ie someone is home, and twigs still in place means house empty!

We've had a very industrious day. OH has cleared out the potting shed and the goose shed and I cleared out the tack room and washed all the rugs that needed it and got them all dry and put away and cleaned and oiled all the tack. Doing nothing tomorrow except cuddle the boys.

Also we are almost ready to start to build our yard. Exciting Yes I am a cheery little soul today

Just PMSL at LittleAmira's cooking exploits (soooo know how you feel, enjoy your meal!!!!) As for Merlot's friends mishap with a handbrake - oooohhh so close to home, just ask Timberwolf what happened to her OH's van whilst she was helping me with the foals birth!!!

Makes you realise what a special and funny life we lead, and thank goodness we can laugh about it!!!

As for the pikeys, scum and completely untouchable (normally) - if you can whack one with a virgin piece of wood - 100,000,000 points to you!!!! You will be forever held in adoration, revered as an idol and put on a pedestal forever!!

Carla, xx.

Funny you should say that, I have one right here! Not in the garden though, too darn hot for me Thankyou. 29C, hot breeze, and dreaded bright sunshine....I wear Factor 50 and still get a rash.

No, I am indoors, looking out at the wilting flowers, with the air conditioning humming away, thinking I wish hubby wasn't in Toronto, I need a hay field cut......NOW! I can cut it, I just can't attach the mower

Yep ! Hot here in Ontario ! We have been enjoying a drink or two by the lakeside tonight, now indoors.....I could kiss the face off the person who invented Air conditioning!!! Went to Niagara yesterday and my kids, OH and family had a ball, got wet thru and dried in an instant! Now starting to miss ponies, dogs, etc ......home on wed.....then I will be posting at a normal time and not in the middle of your night
