I've just been looking at the petition against abuse, and out of over 400 signatories, ONLY 36 are British - that's less than 10%!
What's even more striking is the absence of those who regularly write on AL about how much they love their Arabs - evidently not enough to stand up and be counted!
There are more signatories from Australia and New Zealand - who have nothing to gain from signing a petition to ECAHO - than there are from this country, which is a major (numerically speaking) player!
I thought Britain was supposed to be the country that led the world in animal welfare - clearly I am wrong
BRAVO to those who have had the guts to sign (or ask SE members to add their names) - at least there are some people in the UK who can hold their heads up.
If EMMA MAXWELL and PRINCESS ALIA think this petition needs signing, can the rest of you really afford to ignore it?
Yes, I am on my soapbox and I am NOT going to apologise for it. Anyone who ignores abuse condones it - there is no excuse for not signing.

Slap on the wrist for me - I've been meaning to do it and just never got round to it so Keren's post has kicked me into gear and I've signed this sad but essential petition. |

Hi Keren, I also been surprised by the lack of UK signatures come on people, PLEASE, it only takes a minute or two, there's been plenty of comment on here about this sort of abuse, it really is time to stand up and be counted |

Keren, I am horrified at the lack of response from the UK - I have posted my feelings on the other thread.
I am posting again my reply on the other thread
"OK all of you caring people out there with NO hidden agendas join the rest of us - if you can't post then let me know and I will willingly post on your behalf.
I am saddened and upset that SO MANY who state openly on their website etc that they support care and kindness in training etc - now seem unable to put their names to this wonderful cause. Their excuses and non support show their hidden agendas and pathetic replies - they should be ashamed. Maybe they have something to hide and their training methods are not what they brag about We know who you are and you will eventually be found out.
I am really concerned to find that judges are not able to hold their heads above the parapet and show they will not tolerate abuse - apologies to the judges who care and who have posted"
I stand by Emma and Princess Alia - which other judges will do the same |

Apologies for not signing sooner, I'm not able to get on here very often at the moment but have done so now.

I couldn't sign it - wouldn't let me for some unknown reason. I am happy for someone to put my name on it if they can get access to it. |

I think SE forum posting has changed; I haven't been on there for ages! But I did manage to put my name and address on; it's not like the usual 'petition' link. Hope it has some effect anyway. |

Many thanks. I did try a few times but didn't have the sense to ask for any help. Still not harm done as my name is now on it. Thanks Jude |

Jo, have added you to the petition on SE, and you're not blind, the thread has been pinned but is in German, so could be easily missed!
