Hi everyone. I am a newby to the forum.I actually dont keep Arabs but breed Appaloosas, as you may or may not know the Arab is a permitted outcross in this breed. I own a brood mare whose dam is a horse called Boltwood Jezebel and is shown on her pedigree as an Arab, her dam is not listed but her sire is a horse called Harwood Asif ( also shown on her pedigree as not registered) although I have been told that he was most definitely registered. Does anyone out there know anything of Boltwood Jezebel? I would love to know.
Hi Tracey Welcome to AL. Harwood Asif was definately registered as a Pure bred Arab, and if you get in touch with the Harwood stud, they might remember Jezebel.
Hi Lynda, thank for your advice, but I have contacted the Stud, unfortunately the dam of Jezabel was not one of theirs but a visiting mare. They do keep records of visiting mares but without her name it is impossible to check. Understandably they do not keep records of the resulting foals. I thought perhaps Boltwood may be a prefix that someone may recognise?
