1985, Grey, Colt. By Silver gauntlet out of Naxiffa - bred by Mrs R B Bretherton in Devon.

I have a picture of him as a baby and just wondered whether he was still about and if anyone has any grown up pics of him?

Hi Lindsay,

My YO owns Naxinda (out of Naxiffa) and she is still in contact with her breeder - I'll ask her this evening if they know anything of Silver Brocade.

Silver Cascade was a very beautiful stallion but unfortunately died young. Did have a few foals.

Silver Brocade is a different horse - a 100% Crabbet mare with a HUGELY successful ridden show career including winning at the Nationals and at HOYS. She is by Winged Saint out of Silver Silk and not closely related to Silver Cascade - or at least not much more so than any two Straight Crabbet horses given the tiny gene pool.

Hi Alexia - Thanks for that. As I said I found a photo of him as a youngster and just wondered how he turned out. Shame he died so young.
