I am writing from Canada in hopes that someone can help me with a research project I am working on. My mother owns a beautiful *Piechur daughter who was bred and born in England. The mare was exported to the USA 6-7 years ago, and then to Canada last year. We're told that she is a multiple halter champion, including prestigious wins at the Towerlands show, as a younger mare. She is a 1994 bay mare and showed primarily in 1996. I'm told she was foaled at Halsdon stud as her dam was boarded there at that time. My question is, does anyone have access to old show records from England, or perhaps recognize this mare? I am interested in finding out what her wins, and her mothers wins, if any, were. I would be so thankful if anyone has information on this mare, or could point me in the right direction. Thank you so much for your time and consideration. I hope to hear from you, Suzanne

Hi,I've found reference to Bai Zikita, Best Two Year Old Filly, (the yearling took the Championship)in the show results page 94,in Arab Horse Society News Winter 1996 No.87 and I do have a spare copy of this mag No.87 for sale, incase your interested, Class 4A AHS National Show Malvern 1996.Exhibited & Bred by Miss W Luscombe. I think the photographer that day would have been SWEET, who also post on Arabian Lines and may be able to help you with photo's from that day.
The filly that came 2nd to your mare, that day, Jade Rani (Dhruv/Silver Sheba) is on her way to the UEA to ride in the Presidents Cup 160kms (100miles)on 16 February 2008, with Susan Hawes and representing Britain.
The 3rd. Filly was Teeba a Chestnut (Gonorar/Queen's Topaz) Exited & Bred by Jane Kadri.
Hope that helps..will have a look for anything else around that time, I do have all the older AHS News if you have any other dates to search... There are photo's of both her sir & dam on the allbreedspedigree...link below...Sue ( rosyrider@dsl.pipex.com )

Back to add, Bai Gazella had another filly foal born 28 April 1997, named Bai Angella, also Bay, sire Pilot and also bred & exhibited by Wendy Luscombe at Malvern AHS National Show 1999. |

You are wonderful!!! Thank you so very much! And yes, if you write me privately, I would certainly be interested in buying the magazine :) That goes for anyone who might have magazines or articles with reference to her!
Thank you again! Suzanne :) |
