..thinks mummy makes the weather?! My Max would repeatedly ask to be let out the door - '..and please this time make it be doing nice weather!!' He would be most disgusted when it was the same old rainy winter's day - but would try again 5 mins later.

My cat Basil who is quite an old girl (yes she does have a boys name!)looks out in complete disgust at the rain, eventually she can obviously hold on no longer runs out to the lawn, squats, does her business and runs back in, she doesn't even bother to dig a hole when it's raining! |

Both my dogs refused to go out yesterday unless their coats were on - the cat was sitting under the patio table having a shower! Anyone know how she can come inside walk through the house, go up the stairs cross the landing and still leave dirty foot prints on the bed! |

Used to have a dog who would wait by the back door to go out, but when I opened to door to reveal wet weather would look out, then at me as if to say 'me, go out in that, you are joking' border collies are so intelligent. |

Mine thinks I can turn it off I'm sure. She tries the back, then asks at the front and if its still raining gives me a scowl and waits a bit longer. |

My older collie totally refuses to go out when it's raining. Sadly, the youger one is way to eager, and is halfway across the garden before she realises how wet the weather is!!!! Hopefully intelligence will come with age??

'The Door Into Summer' by Robert Heinlein - the cat in that would insist on the owner opening each door when the weather was bad, hoping that one door would lead into a summer's day... Hence the title. All together now: aaahhh!!! |

My cat blames me everytime it rains
The funny thing about it is that he usually goes out of the back door first thing in the morning for his *you know whats* and goes out the front later on, but if it is raining he always runs to the front door just to make sure its not raining at the front
Silly moggy!!!!!

Oh yess... they ask to go out, then when you open the door to a downpour, you get the disgusted look which clearly says, "you b*st*rd, you MADE it do that!".

Our tortie (Cyd) is just such a bruiser she doesn't care what the weather does, if she wants to go out, she goes out. The little black one (Hattie) is just too precious for her own good, takes one look at the rain and gives you the "oh I couldn't possibly go out in that, far too wet for my delicate paws cos I'm a princess don't you know". The Siamese (Ken), well he's not the sharpest tool in the box and just goes out although he sometimes needs the encouragement of your foot. He goes to the cat flap, has a look and goes back in the lounge - this continues for a while as if he's psyching himself up to go out, so eventually I open the door and make his mind up for him. Such a sweet, lovable, adorable little boy but a few centimetres short of a world record if you get my drift. |

Well our pair are getting on a bit now and the girlie is happy to stay in day and night, no problem. Her brother has never grasped the fact that you need to "go" before bedtime and so in the middle of the night - he needs to go out!!! OH has taken pity on him and made him a little kennel so that if he does have to go out in bad weather he has home from home. So funny to watch, OH pushes him out and he slinks along the side of the house and straight into his little house lol!! |
