If it was him you saw, where and when was it? I would be interested to know about his younger days.
Gari, Crysilla sounds perfect, do you know if she still alive? El Carmaal is laid back in many ways, but loves mental stimulation He wants to be the centre of attention and communicates well with humans When he is doing something he enjoys he is a very happy boy He is an absolute pleasure to ride but is impatient if kept standing around, I'm not sure that a showing class would be his forte He is quite small (15hh) and slight in build, but he has the most fantastic ground covering extended trot when he cares to use it. I have never known a horse like him, more human than horse, my other arab, Ley Lader, is almost a complete opposite (they don't share any common ancestors though), he is gorgeous though too, but in different ways |

Could you hear the music?
No, wish I could claim the little one. She is Camille McDonald my trainer's 5 year old daughter. She leads Antham all over the place, rides him with just one line from the halter! Were I to leave him down in Arizona they wanted to use him in a child's walk trot class so Camille could show him! (I've been told all his children handle Antham...but Camille is so tiny that she helps make the point that Ant is pure love and very very gentle.) I miss him too much tho' so am bringing him home for a little while at least. The problem with the really great Arabians is they are all too often moved all over hither and yon...not something that is really good for sensitive creatures, so want to make all outings very very temporary....staying close to him so he knows he is not abandoned. |

Hmmm...Helen, I wouldn't call El Carmaal small at 15 hands...14 hands would be smallish. As for intelligence, am not surprised. Arabians have the same brain case capacity as most humans and sometimes is larger. A study finds that the emotional center is most developed... El Carmaal comes from such a superb line of Arabians. The desire to be center of attention comes from El Shaklan, by the way...
Sad to report Crysilla passed away in 2005, I think. |

Thank you all!...Antham has a pretty strong British heritage and seems to exemplify the promise of utilizing British bloodlines in one's breeding program!
For those of you who haven't seen Rushan, Antham's sire, in the 'flesh'...here is his video done last year (someone put it up on U Tube)...Hopefully it will play for you.
Again, I can't play it, darn it...so please let me know if it comes through with sound... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KphFlDNZrE8
There is supposed to be another means of reaching it and will try to find it if you can't see it
