My friend had a mare, Monclare Morning Coffee. She was put to Ruslan, had a pally colt which I bought in ooooo er er er 1978 and named him Golden Orient. Coffee had had a filly called Monclare Morning Sunshine who was chestnut. She had to other pally's (Goldie and Lady but am not sure what their prefixes were)out of Coffee but not sure of the sire's name. My friend lived in the Rochdale area of Lancashire. (Sorry just thought I would add my bit!!) Would have thought that these would be on the Palomino Society Register somewhere D |

Will have to get out the old suitcase from under the stairs as I have a few Palomino mags there. It always had a page of who had registered their horse and also if ownership was transferred. It was defo Ruslan, nice compact chestnut Arab stallion [my friend was very interested in the Count Rapello lines). Diane

Hi Sarahlock That is a lovely picture of Castle Gold Knight. Does anyone know his breeding?
I think it is so sad that a horse can be British National Champion twice and yet not be listed on Allbreeds. I will put him on if anyone knows any info.
Gingerhorse - have tried Mrs. Munday but ansafone on at the moment so will try again later. I need to do it quick or I will end up with a list of about 100 to ask her!! Debbie |

Sarahlock1 isn't he just gorgeous. I have lots of pictures of him at various shows (mainly Bakewell I think) in the old suitcase!! I think he was from the 'Belton Stud' in Lincolnshire. Indi, Rozy Rider - Will get the suitcase out over the weekend and see if I can find the mags, and maybe attempt to get some pictures on here (that may be the next millenium as I am a technophobe!!) Or if anyone does want sight of the mags I don't mind 'lending' them out. Think they are from the late 70's but not sure how many I have. Do you think we may eventually get a pure bred Arab pally????????? (Don't shoot me please). Diane |

Well after going through the suitcase I found 3 mags from 1990. Was most upset because I thought I had more, but after four house moves and 30 years, I suppose things do get lost, thrown out, misplaced. THEN I got to thinking I really wouldn't part with them .............YIPPEE found another 10 mags from 1980 up to 1985.
Saddlebred - Castle Gold Knight was out of Weston Cream Candy by Roundhills Golden Grenadier. His stud fee in 1980 was 90 gns inclusive!! Grooms fee was 2gns.
Looking at these mags was like going through a time warp - if only ...... Diane |

Sue, Sarah posted a picture of Castle Gold Knight and there is one in one of the old pally mags I have but I have absolutely no idea what to do to post it, although he seems to look the same in all pictures that I have of him - a natural poseur (sp) ...... looks like he's saying 'oh here we go again....' Hi D, To post pics you need to register with www.photobucket.com. Upload your pics onto there, and then copy and paste them onto here? I assume you have a scanner?!
Looking forward to your pics |

Have filled in some more of his pedigree for you ! I managed to buy some Palomino magazines going back to 1977 a few years ago ,they were advertised in the freeads as the lady was having a clearout ! All my mags were from 1984 so it was great to see pics of my girls ancestors ! |

Hi Sue (Rozy Rider)
The pictures of Golden Trail were posted on my other thread "Kingsettle Moidore of Muston" by Honeybunch and Sarahlock.
I originally started this thread because I didnt know how to move them and wanted to let everyone know they existed. Have just worked out how to do it so here they are.... Arent they FAB?
How do you put them on Allbreeds? Do you have to subscribe?
Also - I ride in the Wyre Forest all the time because I live over the road from there. Must arrange to meet up some time.
