It is with a heavy heart that I have to call this quiz nul and void
I had for some time been thinking something was not right, and have just found out how easy it is to get into my flikr pages ( my fault for being so trusting) I sought advice and was told to set a trap, by giving an incorrect name to my picture's on flikr, if the names came up then I would know there was someone looking for their answers there I am unhappy about this and wont name any names.
I had already packed the prize bronze ready for posting and even had another prize for the runner up . I am sorry for all who followed the quiz and joined in honestly.I would be happpy to start another one, but will from now on be giving a number on flikr instead of the horses name ( how stupid of me!) if you still want another go at winning the prizes let me know and I will start afresh in the new year lynda |

I'm sorry to hear this Lynda!! But I don't understand how someone can go to your Flikr account, I just tried.. because you said that 'we' can??? I didn't find your account (album)!

I didn't realise people could access Flickr accounts? But how do you go about searching for someone? I've used a random yahoo email address that I've never posted online with...
Please can you bring back the quiz - its given me something fun to do when I'm deathly bored at work Not to mention how much I've learnt from it |

I will tell you how easy it is, go to any pictures I have already given the answer to, then look up your own flikr, search the horse by name, and it will come up , then it tells you it was posted by lynda free, and you ask to look at their profile, then up comes ALL my pictures with names attatched so you will see the answer to the next question is already there for you I have asked to have it blocked now but it is a little too late Kash it is after all a public site, so my fault for not blocking sooner |

Can you be sure Lynda? After all most of us are coming up with more than one guess, especially for some of the more recent questions which have become increasingly tricky.
And just in case anyone is wondering, as I'm a regular participant....
I can honestly say, hand on heart I have not and would not stoop so low as to cheat on this quiz, even if I knew how to

| unfortunatly there is no doubt, no one could have just guessed this horse by its features or colour alone. they would have needed several clues which no one asked for anyway all in the past now the person will know who they are and feel pretty bad right now |

How every sad . I hope that you will feel that you will be able to start another quiz in the new year. It has been a very enjoyable way of increasing my knowledge and the sense of achievment when you have finally found an answer from the clues is great even if you aren't first.

Mandy that was your way of escaping the trauma of nursing a poorly person, and I am sure he would not have begrudged you doing it occasionally. Yes I will start another one with maybe slightly different ground rules and a more secure one at that maybe to run a little less time say three months? and the first prize to be the skowronek head bronze for the winner, and a Sally Reece wall plack, ( nice one of an arab head) for the runner up |

I didnt realise anyone could access flickr photos? This is very sad & unsportsman like!! I enjoy guessing the names of these beautifull horses you post on here (although I dont think I have managed to get 1 correct yet LOL) but my knowledge is building thanks to your help
Please start another Quiz - myself and my friend spend hours looking through old AHS mags trying to find these horses. We love it

Yeah, Lynda please start another quiz. This one has been so enjoyable and enlightening (I am crap at getting the answers though). I have so enjoyed seeing the beautiful pics and the guesses and correct answers.
It's amazing how "ungenuine" some people can be.

I can't believe the quiz has been brought to an abrupt end! Just when i was getting into it!
Any kind of deception or accessing of someone elses online account (ie flikr) is totally out of order.
Half the fun of a quiz like this is the guessing, even when you get it wrong, you are still learning all the time.
For some of the pictures Lynda has posted ive spent ages looking through old books, trawling online and even using the old grey cells
I only starting actually typing my guesses fairly recently, but have gone back and looked at the thread from start to finish and there is a wealth of information on here regarding our lovely arabians, from golden oldies right up to the horses that we see in the show-ring today.
Please can we have a new..fraud-proof quiz!

| I have to say this has all left a nasty taste in my mouth, and I wont be in a rush to start again any time soon, I will start in the new year when I have got over this in the meantime there is nothing stopping anyone else starting a new quiz. |

Lynda, I cannot begin to imagine how this must have made you feel. I hope I can speak for those of us who have participated in the quiz fairly and honestly, by saying that you have done a superb job of keeping is all "guessing", and kept us occupied by trawling the net and any books we may have, searching for the wonderful horses you have taken the trouble to put on. I for one shall really miss it, but another quiz, without you, would no be the same

Lynda and all quiz contestants, I have not participated in the quiz but have thoroughly enjoyed following it, reading all the comments and have learnt loads. I'm sorry it has been ruined by such a selfish individual, I cannot comprehend how cheating your way to winning is ever satisfying and I cannot see how it could be justified at all. I hope whomever it was has learnt a big lesson and has the guts at least,to apologise to Lynda if not everybody who has participated.
Lynda, I would like to echo everyone else's hopes that you will be able to find the will to start another quiz in the new year, what a horrid finish to something that was such fun for everyone. |

Thank you Sarah and all you honest people tooonly the cheaters know who they are and perhaps thats how it should stay, (imagine the shame of being caught out ) never mind I do blame myself for being so stupid as to put the horses names to the pictures, it must have been tempting now there is a worthwhile prize. when I start again I will be sure NOT to do that, and will ask Paula to delete this particular quiz so as to whipe the slate clean. In the mean time please go ahead and do quizzes of your own. it is not easy to keep finding interesting horses that will keep everyone on their toes, but it has been great fun and I am always so happy when someone gets the answers, after all they learn a lot about that horse while looking for them |

Hi lynda, one thing that you are not is stupid (and we have known you for quite a few years)
The quiz was enjoyed by so many,its really sad that one person has spoiled this for everyone and more so for you because you put so much time and consideration into making it so much fun for everyone.

lynda dont feel bad its not your fault someone has no scruples! ive really enjoyed reading and learning from this quiz. If you feel disheartend starting in the new year with a clean slate may be good but its a shame 1 person has ruined this for everyone else!

What a shame. I have really enjoyed this quiz and have seen loads of fantastic horses and learned lots. I might actually have to do some work if there's no quiz for a while I hope the guilty partie(s) are thoroughly ashamed of themselves.
As other have said, thank you Lynda for all the time and effort you have put into the quiz and pleeeese start another one soon.
