Thats horrible
I agree with you Vera, all 3, and anyway, she wouldn't be able to keep competing the next day because of the horse being injured, makes me mad seeing things like this!!!

I also think all three. I can not understand peoples will to win rather than the health of there horse and never will do |

Totally dreadful I agree Vera, all three and a bit more besides! I would have thought that ANY rider, no matter at what level they are competing would know better than to push on when the horse is so obviously struggling - makes me sick |

That is sickening, she should be struck off from EVER competing in anything from pony club shows upwards, the RSPCA should also be informed and she should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law and banned from having anything to ever do with horses again...EVER. |

Where did this take place? I agree with everyone, totally sick. Surely she must have felt her horse was not right, ignorant rider, should be banned from competing. Hope she is proud of herself!! Nicky |

Poor baby.Any fool should have felt that horse wasn't right. From the commentators' accents it happened in the USA --- any follow up info on what has happened to this awful woman?, or did some concerned person put it on youtube to try to let people know what she is capable of? |

I saw this yesterday for the first time, although I had wondered what the bad press on other site was all about.....but now I know. I was truly sickened when I watched it.......I could not believe the female commentator!!!!!! what planet was she from. AT should get a LIFE ban, fine and custodial sentence.Poor horse.

I didn't listen to the commentary but was totally horrified just watching, that horse was obviously in BIG trouble a LONG way before the fence. What a b**** !

I agree with Vera. This woman should not be allowed to compete or indeed keep horses ever again.
How sad that the glory of completing the horses first 4* event had to end with it's demise. It was very obvious as jaj says that the horse was in trouble way before the fence. I hope the rider feels suitably upset for the loss of such a brave animal. |

Stupid woman!!!! surely she knew the horse was lame...even a novice would have felt something was wrong. I agree she should be charged with negligence/cruelty. |

Only just picked this thread up - I was cringing almost straight away thinking surely that horse isn't right at all - but was put off by the commentator who seemed oblivious! I can't believe an official didn't make her stop, it's sickening to think that either she didn't have a clue her horse was severly lame and looked to be almost at a point of collapse or that she didn't care and was pushing it on for it all it was worth to try and make the time - selfish b'~@= Yep - I think she should have all three. |

I didn't answer the question either as I was so angry! The yard dog would have known that horse was severly lame yet alone a supposed event rider. Yes to all three Vera!

Interesting this video has surfaced again, the FEI removed it i'm sure from You Tube... claiming rights over it. Definitely should be banned i think possibly all three, later in interviews she claimed that she didn't realise anything was wrong with the horse. I don't claim to be the best rider in the world but can detect lameness in my horses straight away, from an accomplished rider this was utter nonsense. |

How could she possibly not know? Sorry not shouting at Aliners, just in general. The poor thing is half crippled and she carried on riding and JUMPED for god's sake, presume she only got off after she crossed the finish or am I being totally cynical? As I say, I didn't listen to the commentary
