Yesterday evening I went up to feed my horses, they live out in a small herd and found my lovely big grey mare dead in the field
She was laid out in her usual spot, I thought she was just sunbathing....
Vet says he thinks she probably had a heart attack and most likely in her sleep as she looked just like she was sleeping....
Just can't believe she is gone, she was only 15....so sudden!
Rest in peace my beautiful, darling girl and thank you so much for all you gave me and your beautiful daughter

Porsche what a shock that must of been for you, to lose such a young horse.
I hope that you can take some comfort in the fact your mare did not suffer at all.

How awful for you. At least if she'd been ill it might not have come as such a terrible shock to you. At least she knew nothing about it, if only we could all go so peacefully.

| So sorry to hear your news. I know just how you're feeling. Our mare Easter was found dead in the field of a heart attack aged 19, 7 years ago. Easter is the grey mare galloping in my sig. My thoughts are with you. |

Porsche, so sorry to read of your loss, and such a beautiful girl. I am sure you will, but just remember the good times you had together and be grateful for the memories you have - gone but never forgotton.

| Porsche. try to think of all the wonderful special times you shared with her, and how privelaged you were to have and love such a beautiful horse. They all have to go one day and it is a terribly painful experience for us humans left behind, but at least she went in a peaceful, dignified manner.I feel for you , I really do. Polly |
