Angie and I spent most of yesterday biting our nails anxiously waiting for the scan - and emailing each other about what a long wait it was...
Such a relief to hear that this lovely mare is in foal!
She's a super mare - a winner at the Nationals, very beautiful and a great mover - Tobago is a lucky boy! Thank you for your confidence in him Angie! |

Thanks Kate it seems ages from AI to scan but all is well and now cant wait to get this foal on the ground.
I would highly recommend the stud where TOBAGO stands too, they dealt with my vets and we spoke from one cycle to covering with perfect accuracy (she came in season exact day)and was only at my vets the week for ai and home once ovulated
Im lucky my vet is just up the road and they breed there own horses ai and natural so are totally experienced in stud work
Il keep all xd the other mare owners get theirs straight in foal too and cant wait to get this baby on new arrivals :) |

Hi Kate, Just to let you know that I received the semen yesterday, just in time. Fantasiaa is in heat and will be inseminated tomorrow morning. Noami should be ready very soon as well. I'm so excited to see the babies of your lovely boy and my girls. I'm still thinking about breeding a third one |

Hi Nancy (Fantasiaa) - welcome to AL!!!
That is wonderful news! It seems Twemlows have been efficient and got the frozen semen to you quickly. Fantasiaa and Naomi are such stunning mares - Tobago is a very lucky boy to have such famous beauties among his first-season mares!
I didn't know you were thinking about a third one! Wow! |

How lovely to come on here and read all this good news and people saying nice things about my boy! I feel so proud of him!
So pleased about Fantasiaa Nancy! And if Tobago's sperm are anything like him, they'll still be full of energy tomorrow lol
He's still such a baby, though. Another very nice breeder came to see him today, and we watched him playing his favourite game in his stable, which involves grabbing his deflated and mangled horseball in his teeth, standing bolt upright on his hind legs and boxing at the ball with his front feet, like a boxer with a punchbag!
Not very dignified behaviour for a proper grown-up international breeding stallion! Fortunately the nice breeder had already fallen for him at first sight and decided to book her gorgeous mare.
Fingers crossed for Fantasiaa, Naomi and Savhanna...

Hiya Kate,
Thankyou for your lovely comment. The mare in my pics is HT FARENHEIT (Dakshah x Bint Fikri) aka Polly, with her colt foal from last year TVF Fareed(still pending) by Ansata Alghazzali. Glad you like her!!!! Thanks Laura x. |

OMIGOD - Laura - how incredibly stupid of me! I didn't know tt was your AL name. How embarrassing - the sig pics are only tiny and I didn't recognize Polly - just saw this very pretty grey mare!!!! What a complete doofus I am!
Sorry - for those of you who are wondering what this is all about, tt (aka Laura) came to see Tobago recently and booked her lovely mare, HT Farenheit (aka Polly) to him! I have already drooled over dozens of proper-sized pics of this beautiful mare that Laura brought with her - but didn't make the connection!
Egg on face or what! |

Kate, Dont be silly, your not a doofus you werent to know my AL name. (TT is my stallions stable name after Tiny Tot-as he was born 7 wks premature hence a very tiny tot he's the grey in the 4th picture.) It just goes to show you like Polly so im taking it as a compliment. I dont want to pinch your thread at all but feel i need to explain why i havent mentioned the breeding... Polly has always been difficult to get pregnant.she stresses when away from home and absolutely hates travelling so vet said best thing to do was AI and she can then remain calm. Polly was scanned last week by my vet to set it all off but had an abnormal scan in which he thinks she may have a Granulosa Cell Tumour so we are on a 12 day wait, he comes back next week to re scan and see from there. Please all keep your fingers crossed and pray for us that she will be ok as it was a very emmotional week last week.I think it was also for Kate also who has been so supportive recieving my emails almost daily and being the shoulder i cry on..Thankyou Kate i know i've made a great new friend, and sorry for pinching your thread. |

Sorry Laura - perhaps I should not have mentioned it either - I hope it's not bad luck or anything? Golly, this really is my day for putting my clumsy foot in it!
You know you can ring or text or email me anytime about Polly. It's so horrid for you waiting and not knowing what the problem is. From what you said about her follicles it sounds as though it may well not be a tumour - and remember even if it is you have caught it early and it can be removed. Maybe in the meantime you could ask on here if anyone has had a similar problem?
Please everyone keep your fingers crossed for this lovely mare and her equally lovely owner...
I've said it before, but one of the best things about having Tobago at stud is the super new friends I have met!

Hurrah! Yippee! I am soooo happy for you Nancy - and for Tobago! His very first Euro-baby is on its way!
And his first by frozen AI! Seems Twemlows were right about his high fertility...
Fantasiaa is such a stunning, beautiful mare - thank you so much again for choosing my boy for her!
Now please everyone keep fingers crossed for the equally lovely Naomi and Noaa!
If all goes well Fantasiaa Arabians will have their own little herd of 'Tobagolings' next spring! |

We checked Tobago's semen when inseminating Fantasiaa and it was from very good quality. Now, I'm waiting for Naomi and Noaa to be in heat. |
