Poor Fee - please pass on my regards and I hope she has a speedy recovery. it's never nice being laid up but she needs to leave herself time to recover and heal properly.
Great to hear she is in good spirits and already planning her return to the saddle - great stuff!

Oh no, and she was so proud of Po and their soon to be first competitive ride. Please send best wishes from another Scotland resident. It is good that she is already talking about getting back in the saddle, but she must make sure she is fully recovered first otherwise repercussions could occur. There is always next year |

| I think I blame Po though. Poor Fee, I hate hospitals and I have every sympathy. Hope it doesnt hurt too much and that they give you lots of painkillers! |

Lots of hugs to Fee, take your time to recover properly before starting to do things - injuries can come back and haunt you for years if not left to recover properly when it happens.
I've heard of so many people falling off at the moment, must be the spring grass, scary stuff |

| Fee, Sorry to hear you ended up i hospital but I'm glad it's not too serious. I hit the deck this week too, first time I've fallen off my mare - we were both a bit shocked. Hope all goes well for you. |

Hi,
Firstly thanks for all your good wishes.
Po and I were cantering along quite happily when three deer bounded out of the trees right in front of us. We were both startled and she lost her footing and I lost my seat 
I must have hit the ground with a thud on my tail bone. They tell me that the trauma travels up the spine like a domino effect and when it reaches a weak vertebrae that one collapses, for me it was lumber 1, very painful 
The docs were amazed that I got back on and rode her home but it was just as painful to walk and I didn't think I had fractured it. Rightly or wrongly my priority was to get my girl home then worry about me.
Credit to my wonderful horse she took me home at a slow walk and never changed gait or focus. She just knew there was something way wrong with me and I'm so upset as I've not seen her since (10 days) I am so desperate to go see her, but I have been barely able to get about the house today. Will try to go and see her soon, I'm so scared she has forgot me or she thinks I've left her
I just got home yesterday and I am lucky that I have no brace. I am just so gutted right now. She was at a fantastic level of fitness and we were doing our first competitive ride this weekend. We were having so much fun, but alas, I know, it could so easily have been much worse and for that I'm truly thankful. Luckily for me and Po there will be future rides and shows. I'm just a little down right now as 6 days flat on your back looking at 4 ceiling tiles does nothing for the spirit or mind but I will try to bounce back quickly.

PS They weren't even nice ceiling tiles. I wish I could have counted the dots that would have passed some of the time! The highlight of my 6 days flat out was when they wheeled my bed out to clean and I got to look at four new ceiling tiles for 20 mins I have a picture of the tiles on my phone if anyone is interested in looking at them for 137 hours 42 mins  |

So glad to hear that you are back at home and on the road to recovery. Please don't be down, as you say things could have been alot worse and you will soon get to see your lovely girly. She won't have forgotten you, how could she? You sound like a lovely, caring mummy

Oh Fee you poor thing! You would think they might stick some pictures on the ceiling at least!
Bet that you are desperate to see Po, I'm sure she is just as keen to see you and hope you get together very soon.
