I remember you were originally told that this mare was Sophie who was unregistered. Are Sophie and Jabask Sophie the same animal? Isn't Jabask Sophie registered. If she was Jabask Sophie that would make her a five or six year old when the stud folded so she could have been very well handled by that time, unlike mine who were foals or yearlings and therefore less likely to remember what it was all about. A couple of years isn't much for a dentist to get it wrong by - especially in a horse with mouth problems. Do AHS have markings for Jabask Sophie? I am not sure how Sian is so certain which horse is which, certainly grey's from photographs, having not seen them for years or since youngster and especially when owning so many but she certainly does seem to know her stuff, so you never know you could have a nice suprise when the AHS finally do reply. |

Hi Sophie jabask isnt registered, she was put on all breeds anyway though as she exists somewhere, sophie is the same horse! i dont think she is that young, there are other things that make her older, like being a bit arthritic in her hind end and gets stiff and doesnt hold her weight well, she is on lots of grass and a feed a day and i still think she is underweight, she never gets a topline but is putting it on since her teeth have been done.. She was very head shy when i got her, i couldnt catch her if i didnt leave a headcollar on her but she trusts me now. Any idea how her teeth could have got like that in the front? is it due to ageing as my old pony used to be the same and she was 30 odd |

Your mare's older than 12 and there's no record of any foal that year for sabrina.. |

Maybe by the time we sort out this list with all the grey mares around 16 - 22years of which she is one.. the AHS will have come back and confirmed who she is. Is there anyother Jabask horse that was born around the same time as Sophie/Heather that we know is not registered.

Hi Bia, Thanks for your help, Lady Bethany was not a regular breeder and only had few foals, if any,( I think there is one from the sale info listed a colt) but, Molde's mare has had lots of foals, this is why lady Bethany was put on the back burner, so to speak. If I make a list of all the possible grey mares, would it be possible to look at all their off springs and them we just might get a almost all sort of list.
Just to add that Sophie, is not registered or at least not under that name, althought she is included in the allbreeds pending AHS awaited info. as sian was adamant that was how she was bred..Time will tell. Thanks agin..Sue |

well i though she had lots of foals by her huge stomach when i got her but the lady that owns cerbask said he has a huge belly and so has helona stud`s grey mare so it could be wormy belly as none of them were wormed properly and not foal belly. |

Hi Folks, Glad your both keeping your hair on, & thank goodness these mares are in good hands. You've both got a cracking couple of foals....So what will they be telling you Molde, when you get hold of the girl next week. ( don't know if you noticed but Gary from pengarvic) has joined us, he goes to most of the sales and is a realy nice guy, he's already offered to buy one Ariston Arab if it turnes up at Leominster or Beeston if anyone wants it....they have Jabask Vienna, think they bought her as a foal...
