Bia, I'm still working from one of your earlier list, Thanks for all your help...will keep you posted...Thanks you..
Hi Molde, I never spoke to Shian E Jones, yet, although I think someone has rung the number with the horses for sale in wales, she, if its her, has Esme for sale and several others, look at the link and you'll see there are other horses in the picture. My only interest is to get all these horses recorded, and your mare identified. Sue

Hello Everyone, I've just been talking to Daphne Cocksedge, the owner of Secret Heart. She bought him at Malvern, when he was four months old! She has lots of information but I just wasn't sure what to ask! She also bought another filly who she felt sorry for. The filly she sadly lost as a two year old to a heart defect. The filly was a very close mating that shouldn't have happened. She was out of Sondas Jabask. The sire (who she can't remember the name of) was full brother to the mother!! Hope I have got this right as don't want to offend anyone. Daphne would love to talk to anyone who wants info, she also knows of some other Jabask horses, sold at another sale. She said at Malvern, none of the youngsters were registered, just had a covering certificate. Daphne does not have internet access but has said that she would love to help. If anyone wants to ring her please email me lizabrucciani@hotmail.com and I will give you her phone number. She is interested in what might have happened to Consumate Jabask as she said he was the best stallion at the Malvern sale.

Forgot to mention, the filly Daphne Cocksedge lost as a two year old was called Soona. All paperwork was returned to AHS. So sadly she can be crossed off the list.

If this is true then Jabask Comet the Ethology horse (Kelly Marks) owned by Jane McGill has the exact same breeding as Soona. Hope this one is OK. I wonder if she knows of the family connnection between Bo Jabask and Sondas Jabask. |

I've dug up some more names that I don't think have been mentioned yet (sorry if they have). jabask justice jabask knight jabaskos topaz ja baskquee jabasks choice jabasks deseret
Also, if we are still looking for horses for Peggi, the follwoing are bru-bet Seradro's offspring that I dont think have been mentioned:
SAFEERA BASKA 1993 Mare Chestnut bru-bet Seradro/MC DEERWOOD JUSTA CR BINT MADCHENS 1991 Mare Bay bru-bet seradro/MC MADCHENS JABAK BASKS STACCATO 1993 Stallion Chestnut bru-bet seradro/BASKS SYMPHONY CHELMER LONADRO 1994 Mare Chestnut bru-bet seradro/CHELMER LONUKA MADRYN WARRIOR 1995 Stallion Chestnut bru-bet seradro/BIT O'ROSE
Has anyone contacted Shian E Jones - That advert for Esme Jabask is 3 years old so it could have been Eccomi in the background. |

I have just spoken to Daphne! She said she bought two horses from brightwells in 98, Secret heart and the filly out of sondas jabask that died, she also tried to buy her full sister called bask fantasia but she went back home and was not sold. The horses that were not sold at malvern were then sold at llanybydder and she thinks a mr.williams took them there. She saw the three stallions but did not see who bought them and apparently Estamera`s conformation was terrible and should not have been used as a stallion, pegi bought him in!! Secret Heart was only 4 months old in that sale and was full of worms and pegi took these horses into that sale so that shows what type of person she is And if the stallions went to meat then pegi allowed this Also the horses were all really skinny and had really thick coats, too thick for the time of year!! Daphne also said she saw a colt by bo jabask in the united county show about 3 years ago, she said the show was in camarthen or cearnarfon. Im sending Daphne a picture of my mare as she knows what just a legnd looks like and she can rule her in or out as being my mare |

Daphne rang me back to say that Eric jones bought the horses off tom and i have Tom`s number if anyone wants to ring him. eric jones only had the horses a month to fatten them up and sold them in llanybydder and beeston. Daphne saw the arab horses again in llanybydder in 03,i presume she means the same ones that were in brightwells but not too sure on that. A mr g hingley and miss killich bought justa legend and she bred barnhill warrier and bred barnshill chester in 03 and a couple more for them before 03, i wonder if we can gt their numbers somehow. |

Sian, I would like to repyl to your post on page 17.
I have found this thread very confusing to follow in places and am getting more confused by the minute.
You say you left the country in 1996 and took 11 horses with you and that you still have 10 of these horses who get looked after better than yourselves. However it also seems that you left behind around another 100 horses and appear to have had no contact with these horses since then apart from sending money. When your father died, did neither your mother or yourself come back to this country for a while? And if you did, then surely you then found out what was happening? Why is it only now that you are trying to locate as many of these horses as you can? On the surface neither you or your mother appear to have had much concern for their welfare over the last nine years. Something is definitely not right about all of this, there is a lot that is being kept quiet about.
I have to wonder why you were breeding so many horses anyway. At the time of Brightwells sale you appear to have had over 100 pure bred arabs which would have made you one of the largest studs in the country, and yet surprisingly few people at the sale had any knowledge of the Gellidara stud at all, I had never heard of you and at that time my interest in the arab was nearly 30years
In the face of so little information you cannot blame people for speculating about these unfortunate animals, especially those who witnessed the condition of some of those at the sale. You MAY have been wrongly done by, but I think your unfortunate horses are the losers in all of this
