I have spoke to the person who dealt with jabask azzeme and he said that he has now been sold down south, he wasnt sure where and has lost contact with his owner. Hopefully he is in a good home! You should also see my mare after she has had her teeth fixed!!! she`s a different horse. she never used to canter, she used to trot if she had to but she galloped flat out accross her field today, kicking and bucking, she must be feeling alot better |

So far ive narrowed it down to my mare being either, Jabask sakara, casi jabask, cr natalies fire, sophie jabask just a legend and dont the colours of jabask sycarah or eccomi. I doubt my mare was in the 98 sale but possible. |

No record of Pearlanna, did you get the breeding/sire & dam.
Maybe Mandy & bia will have a look...
Pity you can't get some paperwork from sian while she's in the country. |

I will ring the ahs about my markings today and ask about pearlanna. Sian does not have any paperwork, the horses that went to brightwells all had paperwork but the horses that were sold by her son all went without papers, thats why my mare probably wont be one of the mares that went through brighwell sales as she dont have papers. |

Hi there, Blimey haven't things moved on since I last looked. What I know is that yes Mollie did buy my grey filly back in 1998, she then kept her and the others that never went to the sale (Crystal Leda being one of them) with Pegi's son. I believe the land/farm got taken away at sometime and the horses were moved to some hilly ground on a peninsula in Wales somewhere, but did not thrive on the very barren and exposed land. A few were sold along the way, but the 12 that were sold to Anglesea was not until 2003, and they were pretty much left to themselves until this time, hence my girls being so wild as they were only babies at the time of the Jone's leaving for Saudi. The horses that didn't go to the sales were unregistered or without having covering certificates like 'Crystal Leda' my chestnut, whom actually belonged to Mollie and not Peggy. Crystal Leda's dam 'Diamond Leda' despite being a quite old is a happy riding horse somewhere. Crystal Leda's full brother 'Leda's Gold' died at one or two, very young anyway. Yes Elzara, my greys full sister survived the sale as breeding in North Wales. The man from Anglesea had them and fattened them up and then sold them somehow and this is when John Savage came to have them roughly in 2004. He then sold them to someone else in North Wales but was talked into buying them back on the behalf of Pegi (I'm sure he only had the three (mine and Moldequine)). When her cheque never turned up - he sold the two to me whilst I was visiting his stallion and all the mares up on his property, this was November 2005, at this time I believe Moldequines had already gone to Beeston (probably because he could catch that one and she was a little more handleable) as I was only offered the two and there was no other arabs up there - he was desperate to move them on before the winter as he didn't think they would thrive and the chestnut was already very much covered in rainscald. I will say though mine have always been in very good condition, so much so that I had reason to believe they were in foal for a very long time.
John has always been very helpful and truthful, I should be seeing him later this week - I will ask him how many Arabs he had that were from Pegi, and if there was more than these three I'll ask if he remembers where they have gone and how he sold them. I'm also going to Beeston on Wednesday and I'll purchase any mare that looks pure arab - I may even be tempted if there is a stallion but I cant keep anymore stallions so it would only be to ensure I found him a good home.

No registered Pearlanna Jabask (or Pearlanna). I search the name with 'sounds like' and only found this one: PERLAINA - AHSB*17623, Volume 16 Page 31, bay 1988, bred by Mr & Mrs L.B. Wright, UK. No Jabask in her pedigree though!

Does anyone know Jannette Keeley the Chiropractor? She was at my yard and she noticed Basky and enquired about his breeding. The yard owner told her and Jannette said she had a pure bred herself with very similar breeding.
There was a Bay pure bred stallion at Beeston about 2 years that was being sold by a dealer that was very similar in type to the Jabask horses. Also, there is a stud farm near Rhyl somewhere that specilises in Black (Dark Bay) pure breds. I have been racking my brains to remember what it is called as it would be worth contacting them. |
