You should also read ' Does anyone recognise these two mares' also purchased from John Savage. |

Well I just went back to checkout the posting on All Discussions ' Pure Bred Mares Through the sale' from 28/12/06, as there were two Grey mares sold through this sale and Mr Savage buys from the area, he's in Shropshire and maywell visit Llanybydder Sale (last Thursday in each month).
but, I see you bought this mare in November 2005....
Good Luck, speak to Havenbeach in case she was at that sale...and where did Mr Savage tell you the mare had come from and whats happened to her paperwork, Arab & Other.....incase there are any clue's there.....This is a very idenfiable flesh mark....hope it helps... |

Hi, Mr savage told me he got her from a lady who went abroad to saudi arabia, he only had her for a couple of months, apparently she was sold without permission and the lady who went abroad is trying to trace her. mr savage said she definately has papers. she was in a dreadful state when i bought her, she could hardly eat her to teeth were so bad!!! |

You're welcome!
I was partly so interested in the first place as she resembles my old part bred, who sadly passed away some years ago now.
Anyway I hope you find out who she is. |

Hi Moldequine, It sounds as if our mares have come from the same place, as I too was also told that the previous owner of my two girls had gone to Saudi Arabia. Although I do think Mr Savage had owned my two mares for longer as although I purchased them in Nov 05 also, Mr Savage had passports made for them in Feb 05. Your mare may even be the mother of one or both of my mares! Was your mare ever running in the welsh hills with his coloured Irish Sport Horse stallion or did you get her from one of his other farms? I wont email Sian just yet, dont want to bombard her but please let me know if you get a reply, as I would love to know any history. Where did the name 'Nharisha' come from - is that something I have missed? Kind regards Clare

Hi, Me again, sorry I see that you have posted on my topic too, I now see where the name Nharisha came from. I'm a bit behind as I have been 'off the air' for a while whilst camped down my field in caravan waiting for three of my mares to foal (the chestnut arab being one of them), and all well over a week late now - yawn! Which stallion is your mare in foal too? Well it looks like the search is progressing, fingers crossed hey that we find out who these beautiful creatures are - its such a shame otherwise. Clare |

Ok, now things are more clear. I have just spoken to John Savage. He got all three mares from a dealer/farmer from Anglesea (whom he still sees at Beeston and is going to get his phone number for me). This man from Anglesea got them from a woman in Pwllheli who went to Saudi Arabia - John thinks the name Mrs Peggy Jones sounds correct. John then sold the mares (all three I think) to a man in Abergaveni (excuse the spelling), he was then contacted by the lady in Saudi saying she wanted them back - so he went and purchased them back from the man he sold them to, but John never received the cheque and he then sold them again (to me and Moldequine). In total he had them for about 12 months, how long they were in Anglesea or Abergaveni for I dont know. But yes all three have come from the same place which was originally Pwllheli. Does anyone know if the Arab horse society lists horses under owners, or is everything listed by Horses Name? |

no wonder my mare sweats up in the box, shes been passed from pillar to post!! my mare was in very poor condition when i got her, she was going for meat in beeston, thats why i bought her as i felt sorry for her, she looked about 30 in the sale as she was poor and not looked after, she looks ten years younger now!! |

I found Mrs J.P. Jones in the 1969 directory of Arab Studs, just as Pwllheli, Caerns, + telephone no. With just one mare listed, Shillada (1964) Ch.(Shifari/Lady Nasam). So if the stud was there then, it will be in later editions, just need someone to look and see what horses are listed.
Not to confuse the issues at all, I would just like to say that some of Shillada's off springs (Sharlanda)was by El Attorlando(Tadsor) & CAS Sholanda (1994) Countess Shardar (1986),Sharondara(1982)are also by the Tadsor stallion,El Darolando. Seems strange that so many of the old Tadsor horses ended up disposed off and some, including a couple (I think) older Grey mare's went through Beeston Market in Aug/Sept 2004, we know that Mr Savage buys & sells at Beeston, and these horse were at least with him at Feb.2005. This is for info only and untill someone is able to confirms which horses were at Stud in Pwllheli, it needs to be put on the back burner..this breeding might just be a coincidence and these horses may not have been in Pwllheli at all....
Also, we saw Arabs sold at Llanybyder Market in December 2006, could any of these come from the same place, one of the nearest sales from Anglesey, and did'nt one or two of these mares get identified...
and don't forget that Adara has just bought CR Bint Natalie, that has also come from the same place ?????....maybe she will add her bit and that might also help to try to clear these mares breeding up.
and would it be possible to ask Mrs Jones Daughter, how many mares (etc) were sold in the end and just before they went off to Saudi, and what their names are and who has the papers for them....
Moldie, Did the Auctioneer keep your mare's AHS papers or do you think they were never lodged with him.....
Keep at it folks....soon be there...
Just found this reference to Estamera & Mrs Jones. 2) PALMERA by MALEIK EL KHEIL is dam of RAMMAAN by EL KHERON and bred by a MRS W.J. CARR. Her second colt was ESTAMERA by IBN ESTASHA and bred by a MRS MAVIS MACPHERSON. ESTAMERA has bred on with 9 get all bred (except one) by a MRS PEGI W JONES. She managed to get 6 mares and 2 stallions while the remaining colt was bred by a MISS MOLLIE E. OSBORNE. Mrs. Pegi Jones appears to be a breeder and carries the prefix Jabask in front of all her horses' names. Her breeding program appears to be based on Bask and Khemosabi breeding.
