You could always come and join me at my 15 acres, £10 per week per horse, £5 per week per pony or rent a field if you have more than 5 :)
Kerry, Joe, Kesh, Toby and Schooner! Please help, it seems I have been infected with Arabitis!!!!

Eeeee, by gum!
Sorry I missed your dancin' banana!!!!
Sounds a good place to be...but this pitifully fragile little green house raised specimen from the Channel Isles would shrivvel up in the temperatures you hardy Northerners "enjoy" at this time of the year!!!
Still, at prices like that ~ I could always buy me some thermal undies and a Balaclava and wrap Milly up like a pudding!
The Shetlands could just grow their own RUGS!!! TEEHEE!

It really is just fun!!!!!!!!
The Welsh are such big folk....they can take it
Especially Nick.....
When ever we go to the Wales and West Show, all us Southerners moan at the cost of getting into Wales, with a horsebox it is getting silly money now... we have two bridges to pay to go over! We use the new one, still get lost! |

Now that is strange because i am presenting the awards and doing Audience with Nick with the North Wales Group and one of the jokes is a singing Joke and if you are all lucky i will give it a try in the Nationals. Lucy1 i believe you are of a tender age old wrinklies like Sueb and me love to spar it is good honest fun and we have known each other for longer than we care to remember. On the other hand Wales is Gods country and Arabian Horses love our hills and we are like Vikings we raid English shows and return with the trophies Naughty Dragon |

Now look, I'm going to stick up for The Celts!!!
Wales may be full of mist and rain and unnaturally green grass and male voice choirs, Charlotte Church and beer and stout that isn't a patch on Boddingtons AND you may have to pay to get in unless you want to trek around Herefordshire, where they do have some quite handsome cattle ~ not that cattle have anything to do with it~ although you could go through the Forest of Dean...and in that case I wouldn't bother going any further...ummm...WHERE was I ...??? AH, yes, WALES...what I was about to say was :~
WELSH PONIES!!!
Now, come on ~ they HAVE to be such a wonderful thing that the Welsh have bred (with a bit of help from the occasional ARAB!!!)that Wales has to be worth a few bob to get into for the sake of it's incomparable ponies!!
Like MILLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(Only she came from Hampshire!)
Oh, though it did produce my husband...there! It HAD to be good for something!!!!
By the way, he's from the NORTH of Wales...and just wanted it to be known...not that there's anything wrong with the South ~ it's just too far down...and it's got the tolls to get in!!
Up North, you can get in for free ~ if you want to! HEHEHEHEHE!!!
Sorry Mam and Dad!
Silly Southern daughter in law sends her apologies ~ sort of!
And then there's Anthony Hopkins...you can't forget HIM!
Silence of the lambs, however was NOT a film you could have shot in any part of Wales...ever been stuck behind a flock of sheep on a windy Welsh mountain road ~ they are SOOOOOOOOO unbelievably noisy you can't hear yourself think!!
I got engaged in Swansea. So there!
~Nicci (feeling a little nuttier than usual!)

That's a bargain price for livery Kerry !!!
However, we are looking to move to either Sheffield or Bolton so if anyone knows of anything please let us know. Flats caps are out of mothballs and clogs are oiled ready to go

very funny reading!!!! hahahahaha!
but listen here naughty dragon, YORKSHIRE is god's own country! and we have sheep to, and we have a bridge you have to pay to cross, and we have hills, just maybe wales loved yorkshire so much they copied us and got carried away with the sheep thing
only joking dragon wales is beautiful, wish i could afford the time to go there for longer
however, must be said that it does depend what part of the north you live in for prices. it's great for low prices in the west as it's all grass. but here in the east it's rather more expensive. we are trying to buy land but it's magga bucks per acre still when all the subs come off the land next year, it may (fingers crossed) get a bit cheaper.

OK ok lets put cards on table here - some of the best equestrain properties (at fantastically reasonable prices) are to be found in Wales, plus a host of super Arabian studs and I would re-locate in a flash, but........it'll be a b*gger of a commute (I'd guess 4-5 hours each way) and I am rather used to my London salary. I am very open to ideas and suggestions tho.
Surrey DIY £130 a month.....

My boyf thinks we should move up North and get a property with land. But i have the same problem, how am I going to get a job and what would I do that would pay me the same that I get here? I don't know of any investment banks up north?!?!? Although my other half does say that if we moved up there I would only need a little part time job... oh if only it were that simple!
