My beautiful ginger cat Ruby who is pregnant has been extra friendly today wanting lots of cuddles. She's been curled up with the dogs in their bed all evening and just as I was deciding to go up to bed she's started having her babies. So here I sit watching, with my midwifes hat on!! She's such a good girl, just getting on with it and purring all the time between contactions. Just waiting for number 1... will keep you posted.

First ones born, it's ginger. mum and baby are fine. She's just eaten the aferbirth.. YYYYUUUUCCCKKKK!!!!!!!!

Its lovely to watch them being born, my cat had 3 kittens a year ago, they looked so cute being born, she is a fab mum, how many did she have and are they all ok?

Hope mum & kittens are OK - how many did she have?
Several years ago a friend of mine retired to bed with her OH & in the middle of the night she stretched her foot out & came in contact with something warm & wet at the bottom of the bed......her cat had given birth to four kittens on the bed under the duvet!!! |

My cat wasa the sweetes little thing you could ever meet but on both occaision she gave birth she turned into the most EVIL WITCH!!! You couldn't even be in the same room as her.....she would growl and hiss at you!!
One the labour was over she went backto her normal cuddly self!
Hope all your kittens are well......mum too after all she did all the hard work!!

my cat waited for me to come home from work when she had hers. I came in and she followed me into the office meowing like mad, then made sure i followed her into her room where I had made her up a bed away from the other cats, and went straight into labour! She purred the whole way through and kept looking at me. After she had two i decided she was doing fine and went down to eat my curry and she stopped labour and didn't start again until she was sure i was back in the room for good!
I had to sleep in there with her in the end, she had two more kittens  |

Hi All,
Ruby and her babies are all fine today. She had 5 in the end, all ginger, 3 girls, 2 boys. They are soooooo cute. Ruby's such a good mum, just purring all the time and looking very proud. She had a litter last year which were due when I was at Malvern. I kept ringing home to see if they had arrived but she waited till I'd been home for just an hour before she started having them.
Will post some pics later for you all to coo over!
