Could you please tell me, which shows hold Costume classes.
I hope to do some ridden classes this year but would like to do some Costume classes for fun.
Think Dollar may want to eat tassels!!!!
Any help of information would be greatly appreciated!

We have tried costume att he North Wales group show in the past but had no takers, so it died the death, but we do have classes aimed at preformance horses, our "Fit horse in hand" was judged by a local vet and won by horse that had cometed a 40 mile ride the week before and it then went on to get placed in novice ridden under a different judge.

Hi Pat,

This is great news for people like me, who have fit horses. The Endurance, Racing fraturnity who have super horses CAN now compete in showing.
Do other shows have this class too? Any near the North East?

I don't know about other shows but our class was popular, and had some very typey endurance horses that could have won in any showing class.

Perhaps those that DO something with their Arabs should campaign the show secs to put on these classes. Even if you could get say four people who would enter, to convince the show secs then at least it would get it started.

Our basic entry criteria was quite broad, the horse just had to be currently competing in a ridden discipline, could be endurance, dressage, racing, jumping etc. just so long as it was a RIDDEN horse.

Wonder if the Northern would put a class on, if I could guarantee 4 entries, maybe even a Costume class if I could guarantee entries in this too.

Think I'll give it a try! I'll put the question to the Endurance lot on Euro Enduro, see if others would show in this class too

Shirley.

The evening of the egyptian event had a costume class last year, rhod and lulu were hilarious as they tore around the ring at high speed! Costumes were fantastic and horses looked great.
