Hi Pintoarabian
Just checked Roundhills Forever Amber registration and her date of birth is 24/5/06 and definately by Moonshine Vision out of Shulay Coral, I bought her last year as a 6 month old foal and there was definately only one, maybe the breeding of Roundhills Gold Rush is incorrect but I do think this needs to be sorted if possible, any ideas about how to do it
Can you remeber how big your boy was at 18 months, at the moment Amber is 15h and still growing well, strange how your boy is cremello and my girl is chestnut, when I bought her my sister bought 2 colts from Jan,both by Moonshine Vision out of palamino mares and both are chestnut,(pics are earlier on in this thread).

Hmmmm! Not sure what to suggest. I guess Jan Browne is the best one to ask as I have no idea who the owner of Roundhills Gold Rush is. It doesn't say that he is registered as a part bred Arab so the AHS probably couldn't throw any light on it.
As far as the colour question you asked is concerned, palomino to palomino statistically will throw palomino 50% of the time, cremello 25% of the time and chestnut 25% of the time. Our boy, Roundhills Crystal King was about 15.1 at 18 months. We have had quite a lot of interest in using him on mares. He's still a big baby though, with the emphasis on 'big'.
It's great to know that you have his full sister so it will be very interesting to compare notes as they grow up. |

Hi guys
I put a lot of these palominos onto Allbreeds but I usually put a "~" sign in front of the year do denote "not sure". As you are sure that there were no twins that year I have put a ~ in front until such time as Gold Rush's owner can correct it.
Hope everyone is having a fab Christmas.

Many years ago, (over 30), when we lived in Oxford I had a lovely little part bred mare by Roundhills Band of Glory. She was one of the first ponies I bred from. Wondered if this stallion might have been in some of these horses background. Sue. |

Hi there Most of the horses mentioned on this thread are by Moonshine Vision. I think Band of Glory was one of the original palomino stallions used by Jan Browne before she imported the Saddlebreds from America in 1966.
I have seen a picture of Band of Glory and Band of Gold in some old magazine. They look lovely. Happy New Year to all people "owned by" Roundhills horses! Debbie |
