Just been looking through this and what a lot of lovely looking people.. Lynda-----amazing pics post-op---kinda cancels out any vanity involved getting plastic surgery when you post pics like that Not for me--I'll just have to put up with the wrinkles.
Lori---so sorry to hear about the cancer, but great that you have come through it all so positively. A friend of mine has just started chemo for breast cancer---there seems to be an awful lot of cancer in people who are far too young nowadays. |

Hi Zan,
so sorry to hear about your friend, there are far too many people getting it now and most of the young people are quite fit people who actually look after themselves. I didn't drink or smoke, i did the gym once a week, wasn't overweight. I drink now (in moderation of course ), my motto now is enjoy life every single minute because you have no idea what will be around the corner.
I don't wish to interfere but if your friend should ever want to ask me anything which might help her through any of the symptoms, aches or pains she may have then my email is lorr.aine@ntlworld.com
Give her my best wishes Lori xxx |

I found the pix taken in Dallas clinic and thought you would like to see the before and after of my op. This first one is me before any work done,( note the eyes look tired) and then this one taken 6 months after ,do you think it was worth it? I know its hard to see much detail because the pix are a lot smaller, but how many of you would go for it when you reach the ripe old age of 60 plus? I have some of side view as well which shows the hanging neck and jowls, wanna see? |

Well here goes, for some reason i'm really nervous...! This is a sheep I made friends with and i'd just discovered some horrible looking scabs (on the sheep not me)!! You need sunglasses to view the colour of my legs....
Much better looking other half with our new boy

Annas you look lovely too ! plus your chap is rather nice hehe!
Lynda, I would love to think I would have the courage to have a face lift when I'm 60 (presuming I'm still around then lol). Was it really scary before you went to theatre? You look fab, even more so in real life !

Remember Annas, you can always use fake tan when you go out, and you have lovely legs to go with your lovely face and figure, so dont knock it I think people would love to have your white legs ( I would) |

Thanks Lynda, that's really kind of you. Am still trying to fathom the courage you have to post your picture post op. You are terribly brave, I really admire your honesty. I can't stand it when people take themselves too seriously.(You look amazing, even better in the flesh though).
Did you get the pictures that I sent across of Charismma and how is the beautiful old lady?? xx |

Hi Annas, yes of course ( too many Annes in my life)and yes thanks so much for the pix they where great, the little colt in question found a really nice home with people who take in rescue horses for the IPLH so I know he is in safe hands, and they love him to bits, ( well he is a WSA Charismma son and the sweet nature is there the minute they are born !) also the mum that I had to buy back has gone to a lovely lady magistrate!who adores her and we keep in touch so all 's well that ends well |

Such a relief about Minuette, I often wonder how she is.
Am so glad your colt found a lovely home, Philip adored him but I fell for his mother, god she is beautiful. Really pleased that she has someone lovely too. I think that subconsciously we were looking for something that needed 'rescuing' and that was one thing that your horses definately didn't need. We found our little man eventually, as per my sig. x |

Just caught up with this thread -love it. So many gorgeous young things, I always imagined most people on this site were older for some reason - probably cos when I was in my 20s (in the l970s) I couldn't have afforded an arab horse - now everyone on here seems to have at least two.
Baymops -minus frock is a great pic. Annas what a good looking couple - how often do we get to show legs in this country anyway.
Lyndilou - you looked great on the BEFORE pics wow you look stunning now. (I've got more wrinkles and I'm 56 so not looking forward to being 60 - I think you're goingto be my new role model.
I'm off to dig out a pic of me but will have to wait for OH to show me how to put it up. |
