Teresa... Song of India,1968,by Indian King, out of Indira. In 1972 was at stud with Lewis Arabians, Llandovery,Carmarthenshire.Stud fee £75. Although the photograph of him is in black & white & by Photonews,he looks like a chestnut horse, I can't be sure, but he has a narrow white blaze running to between his nostrils and two good hind socks and is at a show..the stud say he's first foals, three fillies and a colt, that was 1972. AHS News.No.35 Autumn 1972.p.163. Hope that helps. Sue.

Hi Teresa,
My mares maternal grandfather was Myros. Her mum is Myrosah by Myros out of Gyldana. I think Myrosah has a couple of other offspring - and Myros himself had several.

Only Three listed by Myros on arabian lines. Mohica,m,1981. Myrosah,Ch.m,1984 & Mystic Gilt.H.
In the AHS No.36 p74,1973. says Myros is in Malvern with Mrs Moss, if that means anything to anyone.also says that Karlotta will visit Song of India. |

Myros is a lovely liver chestnut stallion who was British National Champion in the early eighties. He was bred and owned by Hazel Moss and shown by her daughter Barbara Cary - a very well known ridden judge. Barbara showed Yahmur to win the veteran stallion class in 2005. I'm sure that Myros had more than 3 babies!!

Rozy, According to the Arab Datasource database Myros sired about 25 - 14 of which bred on. The All Pedigree site doesn't list all offspring because it relies on users adding entries adhoc. Even Arab Datasource is not accurate - seems to take years for new offspring to appear.

Sue, Myros in 1975 was with Warren Cot Arabians, Malvern Wells, Worcestershire.Mrs B K Moss and lists a few mares which it says ' some mare in foal to' Myros... they are Gayna,Clarity,Gayala,Gyldana,Shadayna & Clair...but, no progeny listed on AL for Myros ref the above mares...anything for them on the Datasource.....Sue |

Hi Sue,
According to the datasource here is the info on the ones you mentioned: ie all of these offspring were by Myros
Gayna - '76 Al Kadir Clarity - '78 Crystalina '80 Crystali Gayala '76 Nafid Al Kalima '77 Tabina '78 Al Kudaira '79 Al Garos Gyldana '84 Myrosah Clair '74 Mystic Air (but by Mystic Gilt a son of Myros)
nothing for Shadayna (who was a daughter of Gayna btw) also Clarity was the mother of Clair
Some of these went on to breed. As I said before I have a daughter and grand daughter of Myrosah.

Teresa, Glad your happy with the Mag, I do have some more info on the horse and will send it by email soon, just changing our broadband provider, so a little delay..The photo is the same and there is class placings in some of the older AHS mags around 1969- 1972/3 when this horse was showing, I'm looking for photos of my horses GG parents and they were showing same times...Nadia, Nasib, & Nimet (1967)...
Thanks to Sue for looking on the DataS..for Myros Stock.... thanks for that...Sue |

Hi Rozy Rider
I do know Hannah & Lorraine, I see them quite allot they use my school and Emma who rides & shows my boy gives them lessons and schools some of their horses.
Perhaps our paths have crossed in the past
Hi T
Thanks for clarifying that I'm not old Although after the year I have had I feel ancient. Glad to hear you are happy on your new yard, I do worry about you a Kira you know. Khasim is OK a present, we have a long way to go but he is more comfortable at the mo. We must all have a night out or at least a get together before Christmas. I will give you a call as soon as I have a minute and I will pop down. If you want to catch me at the yard, the best time is Sat or Sunday am. Once I have done all my jobs, which tend to take me all morning, I clear off home 'cause I can't stand to see Khasim in the stable any more
Hope to see you soon. |

Hi T
Sorry I missed you again I was only away from the yard for about an hour and a half, went for a shower
I am really busy at the moment with the ferret welfare, I know I shall be at the yard Sat am 'til 13.00 and back there from 16.30ish. Sunday again I should be there most of the am and back from 16.00.
I have so many ferrets available for rehoming that I have to make myself available if people want to come and see them. Sadly some of those people don't turn up
If you call me first, I can make sure I am there to see you. |
