Hi Janet, I've only just joined the forum and noticed that you were trying to trace foals by Sharik. I have 1 , a stallion called Omar el Kheil. He is 15.1hh,13yrs, grey and his dam is Dageegah. He has the most wonderful temperament. We also have 3 of his grandchildren!-2 colt foals by Omar born this year- one purebred(dam-Kastanah Melika) and the other part-bred(dam-IDxTB.) The other, a purebred chestnut yearling colt, is out of Shariks' daughter- Fair Damsel (x Pharook)- he's a real stunner! I had 2 daughters by Sharik on breeding loan- Fair Damsel & Graceful Flight-unfortunately, we werent successful with 'Gracie' so decided to hand her back. A friend of mine now owns Damsel and she also has a foal from Gracie who must be about 3yrs now. If you would like to visit us to see Shariks' offspring - you are most welcome. Best Wishes. Gill. ps. Did you manage to get Sharik out at all this year?

Hi Pauline, Dageegah was on breeding loan to Keith and Alison Baldwin of Heron Lodge Arabians. She was from Duchess of Rutland Stud. Keith covered her with Sharik his own stallion. Dageegah is by Muftakir out of Shariza. Dont have any pictures of her at present but will try to get some. I dont know if she is still alive - maybe someone else knows information about her? Would love to find out! Thanks for interest. Gill. |

Hi Gill, I could be totally wrong here, but I believe a couple that live fairly near us in Hampshire called Mr and Mrs R Dundee have or had a mare called Dageegah. Pretty sure she had a couple of foals for them (maybe more), one was advertised on this site very recently a gelding by Maysoun called FH Ibn Dageegah, he is now sold and no longer on the sales pages. I will try to find out more about her for you. |

Dageegah is infact owned by Mr & Mrs Dundee . She was oaned to Alison & Kieth Badwin of Heron odge Arabians . I arranged for 2 mares to be loaned from a young girl in Linconshire 1 was Dageegah the other was Silver Masquerade a daughter of Melchior and who I bought . Dageegah is a big mare and much oved by Edna and her husband . Silver Masquerade is a stunning mare and produced all fillies but 1 a colt named DBA Indianna by CAS Sabur . All her female offspring won numerous County and group shows incuding severa Championships . |

Pauline, what a lovely name, your gelding has! I notice a couple of my arabs have a few of the same bloodlines as your boy. Chris, Do you remember Omar el Kheil at the Baldwins'? Was he shown or do you have any snippets of info about him which might be of interest to me? Would love to know more about his history! You seem to be quite knowledgeable about the horses the Baldwins had. Did you work for them Chris? Sorry if I seem ignorant but I've only been into Arabs for a few years and now I'm totally hooked! I'm not very good working out bloodlines etc. I think years of practice and knowing lots of horses from showing etc. must be a huge advantage. I just keep trying my best! If I remember rightly, you were trying to trace where Gay Vadavar was now. Dont know if you had any feedback but I know that a few months ago Gay Vadavar and Jack Frost went on loan to a couple of blokes in Wigan area who wanted them for breeding (they are called Alan and Steve)but thats all I've heard as havent been up that way for a while now. Will try to find more details for you if you like! Once again, thanks to you all for help. Gill. |

Hi yes I do remember Omar , he was stunning as a yearling , probably one of the best Iv'e seen by Sharik . I remember him having a lovely head and nice type , I know the Baldwins believed him to be special .... I knew the Baldwins as I bought the stallion El Rashid from them , I also had Gay Vadavar as a favour for the Baldwins as they couldn't manage him for covering hence the reason I had some of his stock and todate the best even tho I say it myself the 2 females DBA Fabienne and DBA Etienne .... |
