Although haven't posted on this thread before, I have been keeping up with it daily and have been constantly thinking of you all and wish little Ethan lots of love for a speedy recovery. I know what it's like, my son was extremely ill about 10 years ago. With love

Well, this time we hope its going to be alright. His first op was unchartered territory as it is quite rare, but the same consultant was now familiar with the individual brain so could operate more confidently. He had a terrific haemorrage with the first op.
He opened his eyes for the first time in 3 days and is off the ventilator, everyone is hopeful he can go back to the ward from intensive care later. At the moment I cannot even let myself think of it going wrong again, your messages have been really helpful, we have all been isolated, me at home, my daughter and son in law living in the hospital parents room.
Friends when you need them, is it just the type of people that are dotty about Arabs that are so kind?

Pat , I think any one who had a heart would have sent the same messages.

As a long time teacher of young children and a mother my heart goes out to any child suffering and of course to the people closest to them - I have followed this thread daily and hoping for good news...please add my thoughts and best wishes for the Ethan's future.
