Ferzons Lace (Ferzon*Silver Lace by The Real McCoy/Habibi Gamila) foaled 29th November 1978.
It's our great 'old' girl's 25th birthday today  .
I haven't baked a cake, but she will be getting extra carrots ALL day.
We are very honoured to have such a 'knowing' mare in our herd, who is loved, pampered and cared for, in her retirement.
She was given to me by my best friend, who didn't want Lacey to endure a lengthy plane journey to the US, and then a long trailer/lorry trip from Atlanta to Texas, followed by quarantine. So she is our matriarch and rules the herd, including looking after the foals.
She is a delight.

Thank you for my birthday wishes, I have had a lovely day, although Mum didn't send me out without my rug on (I hate rugs!!), so I couldn't have a 'proper' roll. Mind you, it has been wet and very windy here and I was only out for 1/2 hour with my friend and her baby, so I was quite happy! I got a birthday card from Sue, the groom, which has a lovely picture of an Arab foal (I love babies) on the front and Mum has put it on my Stud Card holder, outside my stable for all to see. I have been spoilt and got lots of carrots, while the others weren't looking - he, he, he!!

Dear Lizzie and my Dear Sweet Lacey,
Lots of XOXOXO and carrots from your other mom here in Texas,
do miss you very much.
Also lots of wishes from your kids and grandkids,who are all over the world.
What an impact you little grey mare has had on the hearts and souls of Arabian friends.
May we be able to celebrate at least till' your are the age your dad Ferzon lived to be - 30 !
