Ethan is going back for more major surgery in the morning, his uncontrollable pain is due to a build up of pressure in his 4th ventricle which is close to the brain stem, so we are back to the risk factor of 80%.
No choice, he would not have survived without the first op, and certainly will not without the second. He's had so many operations in his short life, 7 I think before he was a year old, and now will have had a further 3 in less than 10 days.
I am really looking forward to having my happy determined little grandson back, but right now he needs all the help he can get.

Dear Pat
I hope the knowledge that even those of us who haven't met you and your brave little grandson do care and will keep you in thoughts and prayers does really help ~ even if just a little.
I hope and pray that the surgery will be minimal and Ethan's recovery fast and complete.
Wishing you and your family and especially Ethan peace, healing, health and happiness.
Best wishes & blessings
~Wyl |

I can't even begin to really appreciate what you and your family are going through, but if my thoughts and wishes can help in any way, you have them all 100%.

Pat,
I cannot say anymore than the lovely folk above, except that, even though we are all apart, we are all together, joined in hands and heart, praying for your little chap, and all his family.

Dear Pat,
We send to you our love, and Susan especially, sends her love and best wishes to little Ethan.
Knowing the intense pain that any head surgery can give, we really are thinking of you, and your family, right now.
Kindest thoughts, John and Sue..B |

Thank you all for your messages. Ethan has come back from theatre and the operation went as planned, so we can only hope now that it has been a success.
Helen, your daughter sounds a little fighter too, I hope all goes well with her surgery, Christmas is rotten timing for a child, but if it needs to be done, like Ethan, then there is nothing we can do but hope for the best possible outcome. |

Pat, my thoughts are with you and your family at this time, I hope that from now on he only improves. I hope you have a surgeon as good as the one who saved my life many years ago, if so he is like gold. At times likes this it makes you realise just how inconsequential our everyday moans are.
