Hiya all,
Does anyone know of any studs that breed full Spanish Arabs? Although I don't want a youngster, I am interested in buying a pure bred Spanish when the time comes (soon!  ) for me to have my own horse again, and I thought some studs might at least be a good starting point as you don't seem to see many Spanish Arabs around.
Any pointers much appreciated. I live in Sussex if anyone knows of anything in the South East.

We do breed pure Spanish but have nothing for sale - may be worth you contacting Madeleine Sutherland from the Arabian Emporium or Gerald Watson who lives in Surrey. The AHS could probably provide his number

| Marigold shares her field with a Spanish (military) arab - and very handsome he is too! I'll ask his owner where she bought him from. We're in the South East so it won't have been too far away. |

I know Gerald Watson through work and because his stud is 5 mins from Dulcie and Gretel. Really nice people. I have an email for them so I could forward a message?
Hope all is well - when are you coming for another hack?? Dulcie thinks you should have a ride. |

Hiya
I have a VERY special 6 year old straight spanish mare for sale on the sales pages on here, so hope Paula and Sean won't mind me mentioning her on this thread.....she is by Borneo x Camela by Ghadames, she is 3/4 sister to the well known in-hand and ridden champion mare, Estonia. Her maternal grand dam, Corona, is the maternal great grand dam of the amazing El Perfecto. She is only for sale due to an unfortunate change in my personal circumstances, so this is a chance in a lifetime to get a mare of this breeding that wouldn't normally have been for sale!
I love spanish arabians, they are very special horses and so rare, apparently only 0.5% of all pure bred arabians in the world are actually straight spanish, so it is very important to preserve these bloodlines so that they dont die out completely! |

moonfruit, gerald watson bred Khabire! (Caballo de Fuego) he's by Don Diego, who i think has sadly passed away. If you do go and visit him, please can I come? I'd love to say hello! Esther from SU knows him well too - and remembers Don Diego - she sayd K looks more like him as he grows up!
caro, if you have an e-mail/address for Gerald watson, I'd love to get in touch with him?

I'd love to get in touch with Gerald Watson. Caro - will email you perhaps you can pass it on or give me his details? Does he run a stud? I could come Dulcie-riding & stud visiting in the same day!
Sacha - your mare is lovely, but way out of my price league I'm afraid. I'm a happy hacker with endurance aspirations 
I did see that lovely Spanish boy on Horsemart, but we didn't quite 'click'. Shame as he was really stunning & the first pure Spanish I've seen up for sale.
Does Gerald Watson have a webiste?? |
