My mare has been scanned in foal twice and is still coming into season, i heard of this with a mare a few years ago, but i thought it was a one off. Any one else experienced this?
Most of my mares do, I was told the hormones help to establish the pregnancy but not sure if that is correct as those that don't come in season seem to be fine. Don't worry about it.
She is most likey one of those flirty mares who will show in season but wont let the stallion mount ( a stallion owners nightmare) I have had them and they are no joke to have around a rampent stallion, driving him wild with desire yet only flirting if she swishes her tail wildy she is still holding, so dont worry as Barbara says.
