After months of looking i have finally found a new filly. Her name is "Neschima c" by G Tamin (pilot x shahteyna) out of Nevinija (versal x nemanda) she is a beautiful filly and will make her debut in hand next year before finding a suitable husband. Just hope she gets use to the colder climate of Scotland!

Hi Leigh-Ann,
With a little luck there should be one or two of mine out and about next season I will have to get fit first though my present athsmatic shuffle would just leave me face down eating mud and grass

Good as we need some more Arabians out in the ring to show that we have some quality stock localy. Its not much fun when there are so few of us
Do you plan to go South as some of us hooked up a couple of years ago for Haydock and we all shared a transporter to take us down and back that way it keep costs down and is more fun
Who knows we could fly the Scottish flag at Towerlands now wouldn't that be fun

Hi Leighann,
So glad you've found a filly at last.
If you manage to get your Scottish team together you're more than welcome to stable with me overnight, as long as the transporters not too large to get down our lanes.
If you need any help on showhalters or other equipment give me a call.
Best wishes Madeleine

Looks like we could have something going here I would defenitley be up for getting together and flying the flag for Scotland at the Nationals
Madeline we could take you up on your offer of stabling but i know what you mean about the size of the lorry I will give you a ring at the weekend about the bridles and some rugs.
Yes Joyce that is the new arrival in my signature, working on how to make it a little bigger. Her name is Neschima and this lady trots for fun, she should be arriving later this afternoon i'm so excited its been months of searching and unfortunatley because i lost Honey in foal to Nikki with only 3 weeks to foal a tragedy! But life goes on a the new one is a chance to start a new line and look to the future

Hi Leigh-Ann,
Copy & paste will work fine
As for things I can't do well there are lots! But the real bugbear this year has been getting mares pregnant (not personally you understand!). Just had the final negative confirmed a couple of days ago So now I'm just waiting for next year and a fresh start!

Hi Mike We left everything empty this year as we have a few pure bred geldings to sell on so they will be broken to saddle through the winter months and hopefuly sold on in the spring I am looking in to AI with one of our young fillies hopefully in the turn of the year as i think it would balance its self out cost wise rather than pay for transport down south and back. Have you had any dealings with AI as this will be our first encounter My vet advised on fresh or chilled semen rather than frozen. Anyway what do you have in the way of males up with you
Mabye i could put a new thread on about AI and do a bit of research

Hi Leigh-Ann,
I would have tried both fresh (chilled) and frozen this year, but chickened out of the frozen at the last minute as Ardene House don't really have the facilities for coping with foals at foot (No turn-out or fencing) so I left that mare Raz empty and will try her with the frozen next year down South. (AH don't have long term semen storage either so I had the stuff shipped down South for that reason and then decided to transport Raz instead of the semen in the spring I didn't have any luck with the chilled either but the mare has chronic endometritis nor does she cycle regularly and the vet thought there would be more chance of her getting pregnant by AI rather than by live cover. In fairness, the endometritis was only discovered right at the tail end of the breeding season so will try again next year Having said all that given the mares problems, if it wasn't for her Ansata tail female line and the fact that I desperately want at least one foal from her, I probably wouldn't bother.
As for boys, I will have 3 next year, Classic-Maidan 1991(Ibn El Moniet X Toka) who is the horse in my signature, big, lots of type, even more trot and way too much attitude (has a signed certificate to prove that he's Gods Gift), he has never been shown as he can't travel for medical reasons His sire and half sister Tammany (by Messaoud) were both top 5 in Paris and a brother went to Glennloch Farms in the States. His sire ended his days at ZT Arabians in Argentina.
Farooq 2001, rising 3, chestnut with no white by Norus (so a paternal half brother to world and nations cup champ Hadidi) out of a daughter of The Egptian Prince. Farooq is much smaller at 14H 3" has big eyes and a near perfect top-line and neck, but is quieter and less of a show off.
Finally there is the "old man" Cidaro 1986(Mudir X Cider with Rosie) not SE he's dark brown, has a long neck, weak loins, good back-end and produces pretty bays but plain chestnuts. He is just about 14H 3" has lots of hair and as a riding horse... brakes that fail at frequent intervals.
