I hope that this is the correct place to post this - it's quite long and I didn't think it quited fitted in the "Classifieds" sectin.
Cedric (Efaktowny) is a 15hh 6 year old registered Arab gelding, white grey with a dark grey mane and tail, that I'm currently schooling for his owner. He was bred by Jackie Ware and his bloodlines are - Sire: Ecaho (PL) PASB XIII (Pepton (PL) - Etruria (PL)) and Dam: Espinoza (PL) AHSB XVIII (Piechor (PL) - Esperencia (PL)). He's an affectionate, sweet chap and very trusting. Because of his history, Cedric does worry about new or unfamiliar things, but if introduced to them gently and without force he accepts them and it's not usually an issue again.
As I've broached Cedric's history, it is only fair to say that the poor lad has had more than his fair share of misfortune. A couple of years ago he had to have a cyst removal operation on his stifle, from which he fully recovered and was carefully brought back into work at the end of last year. Unfortunately in March this year he put his back out in the field which resulted in physiotherapy and another couple of months' rest. He is currently on a programme of work to bring him back into full fitness, he's looking and feeling well (as you can see in the pictures which are at http://groups.msn.com/NRphotos/nixpics.msnw?Page=2) and his future as a riding horse is looking very promising.
His owner, Emma, would dearly love not to have to loan him out, but unfortunately Cedric is not the only one to have had more than their fair share of misfortune. Earlier this year Emma was widowed, leaving her to bring up two small children on her own and hold down a full-time job, she simply does not have the time to do Cedric as well.
Emma would love someone patient, understanding and with the appropriate experience (preferably IH/EE) to have Cedric for a few years to bring on and have some fun with him. It is possible that if the person loaning Cedric were to form a strong bond with him and vice versa Emma would consider selling him to them. A full, written loan agreement would be drawn up also covering aspects of Cedric's past health and any other subjects felt necessary by either party. Cedric is currently kept in Soberton, Hampshire and Emma would, so far as possible, prefer him to stay relatively locally. Hi Nix - Good luck helping to find Cedric a really nice home.
Although I don't tknow this horse in person I have heard lots about him. Nix has a wonderful calm way about herself and will bring the best out of Cedric. I'm sure this a a fantastic opportunity for someone who perhaps can't afford the initial outlay with buying a horse but can afford to keep one. If you know what I mean!

Good luck Nix, hope you find a lovely home for him.. I have watched you with him over the last year and he is a credit to all the time that you have put into him. He has come on in leaps and bounds (joke!!! not literally). I'm sure that there is the perfect home for him out there somewhere (or a rich old farmer to buy him for you!!!!!!).
love Sarah and the "nutty furry lot"

Hi Mandy
I'm hoping that Cedric's owners may reconsider distance if no-one is suitable locally ... would you possibly be interested then? lol ... that is if you haven't persuaded Suyen to lend you her filly!
