Erm Honey I was sort of hoping she WOULD grow up eventually! I usually get asked 'is she 20 years or months?' this from judges when she shows me up in veteran classes! |

I thought they were talking about my friends part bred 2 yo, they weren't they were pointing at Honey! She was busy chasing off unsavoury characters from her 'personal space' |

Mine is the same, he's 20 (could be older) and can out-run the youngsters in the field. He can also show me up goodstyle in veteran classes when he feels the need to perform. he's been winning the veteran classes in the 2 local shows I go to before he decided he'd rather run 'round me and act the fool. All the judge could do was chuckle, she patted his nose when he got his rosette and said, "And you.. you still think you're 4 don't you!!" :) Said idiot then rode home alone along all the roads like an angel. I do love him |

Serenade, I do the same!!! I was asked to prove her age last year! And she has shown me up this year, in a ridden veteran class, oldest, and naughtiest pony inthe class, as she thought "oh, look at the hunters galloping, me wanna go!!!!" so she did, twice round the ring, at flat out gallop!!!! Embarassing mare!!! Judge thought it was wonderful though. |

Oh Debbie, got tears in my eyes reading the qoute about your gelding, and miss my mare so much who would have been 23 this year, but died of colic when she was just nine. Leaving her four months old foal behind, (still with us, now 14 years old). And a very sad me offcourse, I can still cry about her, and when I read about all your oldies I miss her even more. lol Madmare, I've done one ridden class (best turned out so ok not techinically a ridden but I was sat on him :P) and all the little ponies stood lovely and still and mine was jumping about, whinnying and being a general pain. I do handy horse with him too, just for a laugh like but he does pretty well, I think I get extra marks for being so patient. He really is very smart he just likes to make a fool of his mum whenever he gets the chance. this little animation is pics from the first show we did this year (hence the tubby gut and extra hair) he won the veteran :D

Lila, I've lost a couple of horses.... lami and twisted gut (well it wasn't but.. kind of) and seeing Jay being so happy at 20 does make me miss them even though I love him so much and I've had him for so long. I don't think you ever stop missing the good ones :D |
