We are delighted that the South African National Champion stallion TEHAMA NA SIDAQA has arrived at the Cullinghurst Stud in conjunction with Emma Maxwell.
This exotic son of Thee Cyclone (by Thee Desperado) is out of an El Shaklan-bred mare and he has two crosses to The Minstril. He is dark liver chestnut, tall, dramatic and has charisma to burn. One of his many qualities other than being a fantastic show horse, is that he is siring extremely typey foals who inherit his very dished head and fantastic movement. Watch for his incredible yearling filly in 2004 as she has been imported alongside her sire.
We believe in this horse and we also feel that we could not have found a better sire to cross with the blood of our own Arastin (Simeon Sadik x Arina by Palas)
Both horses will be at stud in 2004.

Thanks for the enthusiasm about SIDAQA. We do have pics (taken when Frances judged him in South Africa) but they are not posted yet. I would be happy to e-mail photo's if you supply your e-mail address. There is one withinin the South African feature in the latest AHS News - they have just managed NOT to cut his whole head out of the photo!

Hi Paul,
Emma emailed me a photo of him last week and he looks truly stunning. I would love to see him in the flesh, so maybe I can visit you over the winter months.
Love Debbie

Hi Debbie, Mike, Lisa, Dean and all,
Thanks for your messages. I am working on replying individually and we are very grateful that Sidaqa has caused such a stir! His fee is £1,000 and we believe he will be with us just for the 2004 season. Emma will be showing him........!

Paul,
Must say that it is great to see someone publicly quote the fee for their stallion!
Could I book a visit as well?
Thanks

I'm excited he finally arrived too ! I bought him in April 2002 having last seen him in March 2001. I think everyone was beginning to think he was my imaginary new horse, I had only one smudgy e-mail photo of a horse in shadow as proof !
Vet regulations took six months to complete, and he spent three months in Cape Town in quarantine. He looks very happy and settled at Cullinghurst already but we would like his visitors to hold off until December to give him a bit of peace and quiet, as a hemisphere change is quite tough for horses - he was expecting an African summer about now !
I have some other photos of him if anyone wants me to e-mail them. Thanks Emma |
