Thank all of you for your lovely thoughts and prayers. At times like this, you really get reminded that people care. Felix is still "hanging in there"... he has a huge muzzle on,since he's not allowed to eat anything yet - 6 long days now,he's very hungry and tried to eat shavings. Everybody will hold their breath, when he gets a tiny amount of food again in a few days,to see,if his gut will move it forward with the "detour" in his stomach... Again - bless you'all for caring and Lizzie,my best friend in the world,I love you. A big "HOWDY" from TEXAS, FELIX and Christine. |

Dick, am so pleased that he is pulling through. I will be thinking of him and hope that his next mouthful of food will be one of thousands more he will have.
Come on Felix - you can do it!!! xxxx

Our thoughts are with you, and God willing, In shallaah,(forgive me if the spelling is wrong - but the thought is right for a young arabian) or just good luck, we hope all goes well.

Dear Friends,
I keep getting strange e-mails trying to make me aware, that Dick is stating "his love for Lizzie" ...
After the last "eh..,what's up.." I've decided to register myself, so I don't have to write under Dick's umbrella anymore.
That way the chatter-boxes can give their overworked jaws a wee bit rest.
You are funny! THIS IS CHRISTINE SIGNING OFF TO GO VISIT FELIX.

Dearest Christine, Well..., how twisted are some peoples's minds!! They are obviously bored and have nothing better to do than think up scandal. It is not worth dignifying an answer in the negative from me. If these people are cooking up scandal, let them carry on, perhaps it's their only pleasure in life - just feel very sorry for them. All my love - your best friend, Lizzie |

Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes. Felix is home from the veternarian hospital and doing quite well. He still has some inflamation in the incision for which he is still receiving antibiotic but his intestines are working well.
The surgeon commented on how "tough minded" he was and how his positive outlook helped him survive quite serious surgery. It is another testimony to the Arabian horse.

hi,my thoughts and prayers go to you all.i know how you must be feeling as i had a colt foal 7 yers ago with the same problem.i was advised to put him down as i was told he had less than 5% chance of survival.we ended up in newmarket horsey hospital when i was told the same.every animal deserves a chance so i gave him his.he was a fighter and £4000 later he made a full recovery.good luck. |

Hang on in there Christine - we just got our Russian Stallion home after a no hope, 9 hour long colic operation about 4 weeks ago. Remember where there is life there is hope.
Best wishes
