I have just put this on FB after seeing the article in The Mail on Sunday.
We are all too upset for further comment at present.
You were all very circumspect in the previous thread for fear of jeapordising a fair trial and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts but justice has just been turned on it's head and we now grieve again. No idea if the AHS will even be able to ban them from registering horses in their names. We all feel sick and betrayed.
Admin, feel free to remove this topic if it breaks any of your rules but I am too upset and angry to keep quiet.

Thank you, Rui. We are all totally devastated. After all this time it is just terrible for this to happen. We all had high hopes that her sentence would be increased as has happened in some previous cases where sentences have been appealed; many of them nowhere near as harrowing as this case.
I just don't have words to express how upset and angry we all are; we have waited soooo long and now this.
However, can I once again thank everyone who has supported us for all this time; your kindness has meant a lot to us all during this difficult time. We may now have to move on without seeing any sort of justice for our dead horses and the terrible suffering they endured at the hands of these evil creatures.
Remember the names
Rachelle Peel (Also calls herself Newnham-Peel) Stephen Peel Evie ??. She is now married so presumably not Peel any more; I will try and find her name so that no one lets her have a horse. SHE DID KNOW; I gave her the benefit of the doubt for a long time but we have proof she lied to people AFTER the horses had been taken to by the RSPCA.

How utterly disgusting this sorry mess is, what's worse is the RSPCA completely jeopardised this case from the beginning with their abhorrent lies - claiming for keep for horses they had put down when there were so many people who would have taken them in. Something needs to change when this can happen especially when owners were known and ready and willing to reclaim their trusty steeds. I believe the RSPCA are not contesting the appeal because they know they are completely in the wrong and feel it would be more negative publicity if they go on with this case. So everyone loses out especially the innocent horses that were mercilessly shot and the poor owners left betrayed by the whole justice system. This whole fiasco stinks and the 'RSPCbetrayed' need to answer for this. |

What a complete frigging travesty. Didn't the photos speak for themselves whether or not 'witnesses' had become 'unavailable'? Words fail me. |

The RSPCA are not contesting the case after several witnesses have withdrawn. To say everyone is upset is to put it mildly. Everyone connected with this case has shown the utmost discretion, they have never once (except in private and among the safety of their own 4 walls) said anything that she could misconstrue. However one or two of us are now wondering if she will go after the RSPCA and sue them, or sell her 'story' to the papers. |

Words fail me however I will try; RSPCA conduct is shameful beyond belief and complicit in shielding Peels from true justice. We will never forget the real victims in this disgraceful act of cruelty were the horses and we know the Peels are totally to blame no question as without their neglect the poor horse would never have got into the hands of RSPCA who then behaved with equally less morals and cruelty. Sadly our justice system is at times dependent on money to pursue a case to its true outcome. We know the truth and all we can do is make sure the Peels never get another animal again X |

We all hoped justice would prevail, sadly not to be. Heartbreaking and soul destroying. But no-one will ever forget these evil people.

I have just put this on the RSPCA website.
"The RSPCA behaved despicably but please don't waste your sympathy on the Peels. There were three emaciated horses locked in a barn with their dead companions who appear to have starved to death + many more horses that have never been accounted for, presumed dead. There were three bogs locked in a tiny pantry in the house, covered in their own muck; the muck had been plastered up the walls where the dogs had been trying to get out. Most of these horses could have gone back to their owners/breeders who waited two years for the case to come to court and were unable to disclose the full horror of what happened for fear of compromising the court case only to find that when Rachelle Peel was found guilt of some of the charges she appealed her sentence and due to the lies the RSPCA told during the court case they had to withdraw from the appeal and without their evidence the case could not proceed. In the eyes of the law she may not be guilty but she is GUILTY. Remember the names. Rachelle Peel, Stephen Peel and Evie ? (now married so presumably no longer called Peel)."
I hope the AHS can ban them from registering horses in their names but as they have got away with it the probably can't. |

I am beyond sorry for all of you that were involved in this case, it makes my blood boil to read about this dreadful case, since Justice for the owners and their horses is never going to be done I would like to see the RSPCA dragged over the coals for this. They are a charity that has lost their way and need radical reform |
Everyone in my life brings me happiness, some by arriving others by leaving. |

Well done Barbara. ....I expect Jane summerfield will jump on you like she has me! I don't know all the details of owned or loaned horses or anything else apart from what you have shared in the past and I'm sure as you were all trying not to f**k up the case (they did that themselves) there were plenty more awful things we don't know about. I hope you all tell the bloody world what you went through although the idiots won't hear a thing said against the RSPCA.
Sorry edited to say I thought you had posted on RSPCA FB. |

Hi debs, yes I did put that on the RSPCA FB. I also added comments on another site where people were saying "How awful, that poor woman, hope she gets justice for what the RSPCA have done to her".I said I also hoped she would get justice but sadly she now won't and told them about the horses shut in a barn tramping over their dead companions and the poor dogs shut in a tiny pantry living in their own filth.
I pray one day they will get justice.
Please never let us forget these evil people. If you would like to know more I can ask those involved if I can give you all further details. As it has all been exposed in a court case it is the public domain so there is no problem with it being aired here.
I know Doug and Gabi won't mind me posting this. His gelding was one of the horses handed over to the RSPCA; for a long time we didn't know which horses had been handed over just the number and were so pleased they were safe. Doug found out that his horse was still alive and was so thrilled only to find later that he had been shot by the RSPCA. It has been a terrible time for those who thought their horses might be safe at last; I knew my beautiful mare would not be among the survivors but with the "unaccounted for" horses. There were many, many horses who just disappeared. This is a really shocking case, ranks among the worst and they got off due to the negligence and dishonesty of the RSPCA.

As it is all in the public domain now perhaps the Mail on Sunday (or one of its rivals) would like to publish the other side of the story from all those whose horses suffered and died at the hands of the Peels and the RSPCA. |

That is a good idea Garnet now there is nothing to jeopardise it can all come out and make sure everyone knows what scum these people really are, as the daily mail report really makes it sound like she is the victim in all this getting people's sympathy. |
