Just had newsletter from our local bridleways with an article about a lady called Ann Blake-Dyke and an arab mare called Khayala - lady has two pure breds and anglos - she is 81 and still rides and hunts.

Fantastic, hope I'm still riding and owning Arabs at 81!  If I am, it will be a life well lived. |

| My boy is 13 and I am 57 we could with good health do another 15 yrs taking him to 28 and me 72, hope I'm up for another Arab however it won't be a youngster. Much admiration for Ann at 81 what an achievement! |

Lovely to hear.
Years ago a local posh family used to breed thoroughbred and the lady of the house still schooled the youngsters at 75 although she stopped doing the initial backing; she was amazing. |

I think if you have the money, Lulu, you can definately be like the Queen! I have not been able to ride for 15 years but have come to terms with it and still have my Arab. As one of my cushions says, 'A life without horses, I don't think so!) |
