Brilliant news, keep going it's worth it in the end. My boy had rotated pedal bones and has been sound and in full work for 3 years now, with the help of my very understanding farrier.

The vet and farrier were doing all sorts and then when she wasn't getting better they wanted to start it all from scratch again. Eh don't think so!

Great news, my mare recovered fully from a rotated pedal bone at 15; she retired from hacking at 26 and lived to 30 never a day lame again.

So pleased to hear this, I had trouble with the first vet who came to see my girl, it was very frustrating that our views on treatment were so different. The second vet had done much more reading, was more newly qualified and actually had horses herself was great and we were able to devise a strategy that we were both happy with.
As I said to the first vet, I have to pay for your opinion but I don't have to take it!

Everyone in my life brings me happiness, some by arriving others by leaving.

My endurance horse had rotated pedal bone and a total of 4 bouts of laminitis. My farrier and vet supported me (no fancy shoeing though)He came sound and this year got back to his previous FEI 2* level. He completed 2 120km rides successfully at the Windsor Hose Show and representing Wales at the Home International.
The message of his life was to never give up on them.

This sounds very familiar, my vet also dismissed as bad attitude. I was asking for bloods for EMS and she flatly refused to do them , did al sorts, unnessary MRI, nerve blocks etc etc. Eventually did bloods which came back positive. Then she was off diagnosing loads with EMS. Anyway farrier we found was great and he is now sound 4 years later,
