Found these old photos today on a memory stick, it's Lily as a (obviously highly dangerous) 4 year old being ridden by my 14 year old niece. How bambi-ish she looks (and still pinky grey!)
Five years later (last August, in the pouring rain)....

Aw, she's certainly turned from a sweet gangly baby into a beautiful young lady.
Here's Raf when I first got him, aged 4. He'd just been cut and with that and moving yards he'd dropped weight.
Ridden, a few weeks later
Four years later, April this year, on a x country camp (for fun, we didn't do anything more demanding than this!)
And last month, photo courtesy of West End Photography

| It is more noticeable how much they have changed when they are grey - I must say that I am very jealous that Raf has kept his lovely dapples for so long, Lily went white (and now starting fleabites) very quickly. Lovely pics Liz. |

Love to see Arabs in action, aren't they lovely rides. I always thought they were the difference between a mini and a ferrari with all that exuberance.

Beautiful Fee! When were those photos taken?
I know dapples are lovely (and so practical for hiding the dirt) but I like them white too. Although you can't tell from the photos Raf is already quite fleabitten around his neck and shoulders.

At 9 Lily only has some grey left in her mane and tail (ignoring the muddy reddish ends of her tail) - here's a side on view since Liz reminded me that West End Photography took this picture at our last outing of the season
Come on Debs (and everyone else) post those photos - lets have some non-greys! |

Ah thanks Linda, the last 2 are 5 and 6 yo. I have a few from this year but they are not on photobucket, I think I must have a bug somewhere as I had to restart after each posting. Surely that can't be the only way?
Have to say the greys area much more dramatic.... The only real difference I see in Ali is the foal one we are of to classic dressage at the weekend so hopefully he will behave  and I'll get some decent pics |
