Sounds like your baby has a lovely new home and Eric Gillie are brilliant so no need to worry. Just need to get Percy back on his bouncy feet now. |

Took Percy back up to Royal Dick today for tests and just waiting for them to ring with results, he was allowed home with us which was good. The steroids hes on are causing muscle wastage and you can see it on his face, looking boney poor lad so hoping they can lower the dose of that one. Hes getting a bit better every day but nowhere near his normal self but hoping he will continue to improve with time, although he used to be so naughty so quite nice having a quiet Percy about |

Thank you for your kind words about Dex, he only had a dental and I was beside myself so can't imagine what you must be going through. I am sure once vets get Percy balanced on the meds he will improve back to full health and naughtiness. You are so right we wouldn't be without our pets and thinking of you and Percy is a wake up call for me that instead of worrying about my pal getting old I should be very grateful he is fit and well and age is only a number.

Thankyou Ari, you have every right to be just as worried about Dex, hes your family and a dental is a big thing for him to go through. The vet phoned last night and we have dropped one of his tablets to 5mg instead of 7mg, if hes ok in 2 weeks then we drop again by 2.5mg then after two weeks retest him and if all ok he can stop that set of tablets which will hopefully stop the muscle wastage and him wanting to go for wee wee,s every couple of hours |

Thankyou Garnet , i never thought i would see the day when i would be pleased that he had been naughty. He still shakes a lot when in his bed but i am told this will improve with time . we just keep popping his blanket on him to keep him warm. |

Callisto, Goldenmane and Firelight thankyou so much , hes been very quiet today but i am told some days will be better than others so not too worried about him . We are saving a fortune in quilts as he used to go through 1/2 a week when he dug into them to make his bed, i am sure the lady in the shop where we buy them wondered what in the world we were doing with them |

Go Percy, glad he is ok and soon will be back to full naughtiness. Dex is fine thanks for asking, normal terrier activity when out and about. Can't hear command to leave alone and barking at cyclists, runners and walkers that pass his territory. Thats my boy! |

Well its a year since Percy Pointless was ill and i am pleased to say that hes now back to his naughty old self and doing really well. We had to up his medication so he has 8 tablets a day but hes doing well and full of himself again. His favourite thing at present is to chase the poor squirrels who are stealing the birdseed. Thankyou to all who posted on this it really helped me to stay positive when he was so ill |

Sally, I am so pleased Percy is doing well. I know how upset I was when Dex was diagnosed with kidney problems at 13 and he wasn't poorly so nothing compared to what you and young Percy have been through. Stay naughty Percy and keep chasing the squirrels xxx |
