Spoken to vet tonight , he had raised phosphate levels and raised uretha levels ( i think thats what he said and how its spelt ) no temperature though, hes a bit wobbly which i noticed before i took him back. We are still waiting on lab results coming back which he is going to ring for in morning, Clear x rays although they are thinking that worst case they may need to open him up to look further but thats just thoughts at min not certain just in case something hes eaten is stuck but not showing up on x ray. There are a few vets now looking at him but so far its a bit of a puzzle still, they have ruled out adder bite but are not ruling out tick bite yet as symtoms can can a while to surface . Just want my poor boy fit and well again but yes Ari if we need to i shall get him reffered. Bang goes my new saddle fund, i have been saving for one for a long time now but Percy Pointless is far more important, and the horse it was for is sold now subject to passing the vet which is a decision i think i am regretting after riding my old baggage of an arab mare today, think maybe i should be keeping the younger one but i would never go back on my word and the lady buying her is so nice that and i could not fault her. One last chance would be if she fails the vet ( wonder if i can give her a back hander to fail her ) Will update as soon as i hear anything and fingers still crossed pleased. |

You have a lot going on and if you have regrets about the sale then think of what you want. Any buyer would without hesitation. I know you value your word but maybe things have changed? Finger and several paws crossed in my house for Percy x

Vets have found some spotting on a blood smear test , they are going to send more blood off for experts to do similar tests to see what they can find. Another dog in the village is poorly but she is running a temp where Percy is not, but i have passed on info to my vets just in case they are linked. They are now thinking about sending Percy up to the Royal Dick as they are still at a loss until more tests done. Sadly as our bill is running up rather large now i cannot justify keeping my girl, my OH,s business is very slow moving at the min and they have staff who work for them so i feel it would be very selfish of me to keep her when her money could be going towards Percy,s bills. They are vetting her tomorrow i think, but this will now be subject to Percy and if he has to go to Royal Dick. He hasn,t picked up very well with the fluids this time and has been shivering but i have told them he likes to have a blanket on , he only has a very fine coat and feels the chill even when its baking hot. |

My vets asked if i could take him to the Royal Dick so we took him up this afternoon. They have found his blood pressure low, heart rate not right and low cholesterol , they have taken him into intensive care and will do more tests once they have built him up as hes very weak, so its now just wait and see and pray they find something. I am now just praying they find whats wrong and then my big daft boy will be home again soon. |

Hope they find out what the problem is and it's very treatable, my anxiety levels go through the roof when I've got an ill dog even when you know what the problem is. I've got everything crossed that Percy is diagnosed quickly and makes a rapid recovery Mandyxx |

Positive vibes for Percy, so sorry you are going through this. Wonder if he could have "stones" in bladder/kidney etc. Perhaps it's a virus? I will pray for him. |

Thankyou all so much you have made my eyes leak again. Spoken to vets today and they say he is a bit brighter this morning and stood up, they have a few things they are thinking and one of them is addisons so i need to google it, some of his symptoms are not the same as addisons so they have had to send stuff away to be tested as they cannot do it themselves, she has said this will be very expensive so please keep your fingers crossed that my mare passes the vet today as we are going to need her money and lots more to pay bill, i don,t suppose anybody would want my body so no good standing on a street corner under a red light. They are also scanning him this morning and will ring later as they hope to have results back from the other lab. I feel a bit more positive today , once again thankyou for your kind thoughts and words. |

I'm with you, no news is good news. As for earning a few extra quid, many a van driver has seen the fit Arab and smallish rider bottom from behind and slowed down only to be very disappointed the rider is well the wrong side of 50 lol. Could give my Tellurides a rinse and I am sure I have some clean jods somewhere, schooling whip to hand so game to join the girls on the corner. All fingers and paws in my house are crossed for good news x |

Still no news but on the bright side my mare passed the vet, poor vet when he told me i burst into tears, i was still hoping she would fail but at least we now have a good chunk towards his bill and the rest can be put on our cards so thats good news and a relief. Welcome to the corner Ari just think of the choice the gents will have now |

Fantastic news, they know whats wrong and hes so much better, he has Addisons which is what they thought it may be. They are even saying he may be able to come home tonight or in the morning subject to his next set of tests. I am so pleased .He will have to go back up for further tests just to fine tune the treatment and he will be on medication for the rest of his life ( this means ladies i may be on street corners for ever under my red light ) There is a forum for people who own dogs with Addisons so i may join that to get more info . Just so relieved that he will be coming home |

Brilliant So pleased for you and Percy. Just a thought instead of standing on the street corner just start a 'sex chat line'! Have you got a sexy voice? Then you can just cuddle Percy at home whilst earning money!! |
