As a teen I plucked up the courage to ask Dawn Sloan to ride her stunning Indian Banner. I became friends with the Sloan family and had lots of fun riding Banner and his brother Rajah and Domino. We showed under saddle, raced etc. I bought my first Arabian from Dawn. This is where it all started :) As the years past I had my own small breeding farm, Dawn advised and helped always, even if we did drink tea and eat cookies for hours :) Dawn/John and family moved to France, we visited, had wonderful times. Raji, was Dawns dream horse, and a softy he was too :) Im so saddened by Raji`s death caused by LISA FLETCHER, you will have your time lady! I open my heart to Lisa Sloan , Dawns Daughter who has bravely fought for justice in sad times. Mum will be very proud Lisa xxxx Rest in Peace now Dawn and Raji, we will all see you again sometime xxxxxxxx

It must be awful for Lisa to have given Raji to someone she trusted and then have this happen, but what goes around comes around. |

Yes, this is so sad given the untimely death of Dawn.
At least Dawn & Raji and reunited in Heaven, where his care will be second to none I'm sure.
RIP Dawn and Raji and my heart goes out to the Sloan family, who I'm sure will be supported by the Arabian Horse Community, who knew them well |

I remember many years ago visiting Dawn and seeing Banner and a very young (yearling) leggy Raji falling Butt over Boob whilst galloping like a loon round the paddock, at the time I said he was a future champion, and it turned out he was. So sad that any horse let alone a horse of his calibre should end up this way..................A great loss, both owner and horse. |
