I'll be picking up my 3.5t horsebox soon (sooooo excited!!!) so I need to start thinking about insurance and breakdown cover for it.
Any recommendations? Been told to get proper horsebox insurance and breakdown incase I ever need to get a transporter to pick the horses up and take them home for me. It is quite a young chassis with only 22k miles but Id still like to have it just in case.

ah ha! I'm still stuck between 2, lol! Choice is classy, different, stands out but means having to clean it more often, lol. Or still classy, not stand out as much but will prob hide dirt a bit better. I'm not telling anyone my colours...its a surprise! Ive got a couple more weeks to make final decision. |

I also use four counties for my 3.5 ton and with breakdown cover its just over £300 for the year, when you get break down cover make sure you have home start included in the price as many dont do it as standard. |

Vik go for the one thats easier to clean, mine is white and trust me it always looks grubby even when i have just cleaned it, never again, in the past i have had bronze type colour, green , and a silver/grey sort of colour, all of them were ok to keep clean and never looked grubby. Sorry off hand cannot remember who i am insured with |

Thanks..I'll have a look at Four Counties. Sab2...I am swaying towards to the easier to keep clean one. I hate cleaning cars as much as I hate cutting grass...it just does not get done! lol. Saw an oakley with the colours and they looked good together, will be a diff pattern though. I cant wait to get now. |

We're with NFU and also have their recovery service, sorry can't remember how much the premium is, but didn't have any problems with them when I had two tyres blow out last year , didn't need to use the recovery service because flukily it happened 30 yards from a lorry repair yard, whose neighbour had stables who came out to invite me in with Lily (who amazingly didn't turn a hair over the whole episode, whilst I was having kittens). But they paid up for the repairs with no problem. |
