Nice pally foals. Isnt it unusual to get a pally out of a grey?

Badders, if the grey's base colour is chestnut she will always produce a palomino foal to a cremello. However, it will have a 50% chance of greying out whenever 1 parent is grey or 100% chance of greying out with a homozygous grey. The two mares in this case are not homozygous but dna tests will show if the foals will go grey. The breeder already has that in hand. Fingers crossed!

Georgeous girlies!! I bet they would be rather beautiful colours as they grey out, though Pally would be rather special

Everyone in my life brings me happiness, some by arriving others by leaving.

The first one, our own filly, will definitely stay palomino. Will let you know about the other two when Jac gets the dna test results back.

Genetics is a wonderful thing. these days with DNA testing it must be alot easier to breed colour and not wait and see if they grey out. They all look like very nice pally fillies, this has to be my next horse a part bred pally,

Hi sab 2 how's your cremello boy?

The PBA is now in Germany where he has just got his licence , i still have my cremello Welsh sec B stallion who i had hoped to cover my Arab mare with for a pally foal but she will not stand for him, so am thinking about getting one on loan for next year as getting late this year, am also looking at sending him for AI training so i can cover the larger ladies, i have his pally daughter here out of a 16hh TB and she will make a super pony in a few years. Hope your ok
One day Pintoarabian i would like to use your Roundhills boy as hes very nice, we have a Roundhills boy not too far from us but he only has about 33% Arab and would like more %

Roundhills Crystal King is 61.94% Arabian so breeding a pure bred mare chestnut to him will give a palomino with 80.97% Arabian blood. He's a big boy too, standing at 16 hands or more so will produce good riding types. Hopefully, Sab2, you will be the proud owner of one of his foals one day.
