Was so proud of Tilly today. We have been going out for walks for a while, but not normally more than a mile. We have played around with rollers and saddlepads at the field, but never gone out with them on.
Today we mixed it up. The saddle pad and roller went on and we went out for a 2+ mile walk. We met dumper lorries with flashing lights loading gravel opposite our yard gates, roadworks with whurry generators, hedge cutting, playtime at the pre-school and she could only hear them not see them and mad wheel screachy cars and bicycles - so proud of her bravery!
This was her checking out the temporary school sign on the green
And this was Tilly surveying the forest

Ah what a good girl. It does make such a difference taking them out in hand when it comes to riding. |

Aah, bless her, she is much braver than my 16 year old Harrii. Never mind the sign, he'd be scared of the bits of silver tape stuck onto the posts, he misses nothing that horse ! |

Well Tilly has said that she would like to grow up into a great and fast endurance horse.
The plan is to get her to see as much as possible before I get on her, which will be next May/June after she's turned 4

I will be patient as I want her to be mature enough to last as an endurance horse with a career of many thousands of km.
Luckily Cinny is such a fab endurance horse, that we can leave Tilly until she is ready - though when she is, I think she will be amazing |
