Will look out for it.. & Thank You Pauline.. Hope you have a good day at the Arab Marathon.. Sue.xxx
Thank You all for the donations & support for this years Red Dragon Sponsorship.. a great effort from everyone involved.. Riders, Crews & Owners and families.. I've managed to collect so far £505,This will be on its way very soon to ESAF & Dr Mohammed Abd-Elhay to help out with the Pyramid Horses... and in return he's promised me some photos of them this Sunday.. eating greens.. £505 equates to 4970 EP.and goes a lot further there than here.. so this money will do some good.
I'd like to say a big Thank You to everyone involved in this collection. and will post a few photos after this next weekend. Cheers Sue

I do feel very strongly that we need to be looking after horses nearer to home. There are nearly a 100 horses dumped on the mountain above Hay-on-Wye with no hay or feed in foot deep snow, RSPCA don't want to know :( |

Sue what a great result, well done. Do you still do the saddle pad bit collections etc ? Tricia how dreadful , are these ponies from one owner or dose it just seem to be a dumping ground, sadly dose not surprise me that RSPCA do not want to know, is there anything that can be done to help these ponies. |

Unfortunately there are quite a lot of colts up there, so until they are properly culled the situation is just going to get worse and worse. |

I think your in the wrong place Trish, there are all colts, nothing is cut in Egypt and the situation has developed because of the lack of visitors to Egypt and the Pyramids.. No work, No money, and No food to feed their horses.. or families.. a very difficult situation exist. Horses are used to carry folks (Visitors to see the Pyramid in the desert.. I've supported these horses since the revolution in February 2012, well not me personally but have instigated a collection at the Red Dragon to get funds to help the horses. All the Best. & Thanks You to Everyone who contributed. Sue. |

Sue,
If you read my posts correctly you will see I am talking about horses abandoned on the common land in wales, with a lot of colts amongst them. This is where we need to be concentrating our time and effort on as the situation is dire in our own country. These horses are now starving as the snow has covered up any bit of grass that had been availiable.

Good Luck Trica. I know of the Llantony Valley horses from some of the EGB girls that live there. I can only do so much as an OAP.. and wish you well in your collection. As I have said Jenny Macgregor has two colts the girls managed to catch/load etc.. that had been loosed onto the hill. Make a donation and see what you can get going.I wish you luck. Sue. |
