I thought I'd better make sure that Wolfie's school uniform fitted OK before he goes off to school this week:
Gulp. He looks soooo grown up. Whatever happened to ickle baby Wolf:
He wasn't bovvered about wearing tack in the slightest and was far more interested in whether it was edible:

I LOVE his markings!! Especially the bit round his eyes - looks a little bit Johnny Depp/Jack Sparrow.... which can only be a good thing in my book!!!!! |

Thanks for all the lovely comments.
I left Wolf at boarding school yesterday. He had a bit of a trot round but was pretty calm. He can see the sea from his field, and he kept looking into the distance at the boats. I do like a horse that is interested in the horizon - it bodes well
I'll be going up every week to be involved, he'll come home for the winter once the basics are there, and then we'll look to go back next year when he's 4. Very exciting
However, this does not constitute a plan....... |

Have been up to see him today. I'll admit to having 'something in my eye' when I saw how well he was doing.
This was the first time he'd been lunged in a saddle. Lots of gold stars for the report card.
Pheebs - he takes my breath away too. I just hope I can do him justice. |

He looks all grown up. But I must admit to finding the pics of him in side reins a bit disturbing. Side reins already!!! |

TBH Quarabian even if I was doing him myself I would be using side reins at this point. They're very very loose and he's having very short regular lessons, not pressured in any way and he's clearly lapping it up. Kezza gave him a massage today to check that nothing was getting sore now he's been doing a bit of work for four weeks and all was OK. |

Wolfie's clearly lapping up all the attention He's absolutely adorable! I don't see any problems with using side reins as slack as that either. |
