Is anybody planning on going? Just to watch or competing? I haven't been in years and would love to go as a groom, u wouldn't have to pay me or anything lol
They must be referred to as The Horse of the Year Show, no reference to 'HOYS' anymore, silly I know but thats what we've been told, as if it makes a difference lol
have to qualify first, which will be quite the mirracle looking at the season my mare had last year. is it just me, or does the judging for the ridden classes not go on the manners and way of going anymore? anybody else found this? xx
I think it depends on the judge tbh, my boy did REALLY well last year at north staffs against lots of fine and flashy little things, but the judge specifically said to me he was placed so highly (2nd novice gelding+ won crabbet and championship) BECAUSE of his good manners and he gave he such a nice ride
